Lee Baker - Alfred Lee Baker is a 2002 graduate of Daphne High School. While attending Daphne High School, Mr. Baker lettered all four years in varsity football and track. He lettered three years in basketball. After graduation, Mr. Baker earned a scholarship to play football at Coffeeville Community College. Upon completion of his two year degree, Mr. Baker transferred to Middle Tennessee State University where he continued to play on the collegiate level. Mr. Baker later transferred to Missouri State University and continued to play, following his passion for football. Choosing to remain in Missouri, Mr. Baker has worked to establish his own business in transportation. His fondest memories at Daphne High School are being part of the 2001 State Championship Football team. Of that experience he says, "Winning is the best feeling in the world!" He is grateful for having family support and lasting friendships from elementary school through adulthood.
Matt Barber - Mr. Barber attended Daphne High School during the years of 1999 to 2002. After graduating he went on to Birmingham Southern College where he majored in Business Administration. Mr. Barber graduated in 2006 with a BS degree. He is currently employed working in automotive painting sales. Some of Mr. Barber's personal accomplishments that he is most proud of is winning back to back state baseball championships and being a member of the National Honor Society. A few of the fondest memories from his years at Daphne High School include making life long friends and being a part of the great athletic and academic program that Daphne High School has to offer.
Don Blanchard - Mr. Blanchard graduated from South Alabama in 1977, 1981 and 1997 with various degrees. He became a teacher/coach in 1990 until 1994. He was then an assistant principal from 1999 until 2005. Mr. Blanchard became principal of Daphne High School in 2006 and served in that position until 2010 when he was promoted to the Executive Principal of Baldwin County Schools. Some of his personal accomplishments at Daphne High School include the school being awarded the IB Diploma Program, the dedication of the Senior Honor Quad and Trojan Statue and founding the Daphne High School Hall of Fame. Having the TV monitors in the halls streaming announcements throughout the day was another contribution that Mr. Blanchard made. Some of his fondest memories are the wonderful students that he had the privilege to meet along with the outstanding administrators, teachers, and staff. From day one when the school first opened the great partnership with our parents and the City Daphne High School was the place to be. Mr. Blanchard's famous words resonate today, "Once a Trojan always a Trojan!!"
Mayor Harry Brown - Mayor Brown attended Troy University in 1976, where he received his BS in Business Administration. He is married to Gloria Brown and they reside in Daphne. They have four children: Cathy Biggs, Chrissy LaVres, Cindy Brown, Chip Brown. They also have four grandchildren: Casey LaVres, Hamilton Biggs, Harrison Biggs and Harry Brown III. Currently Mayor Brown works at Coldwell Banker as a Broker. Some of the personal accomplishments that Mayor Brown is most proud of are all of the cooperation between the City of Daphne and Daphne High School regarding the athletic department, band and the academic programs. Some of Mayor Brown's fondest memories are of his granddaughter, Casey LaVres attending Daphne High School. He enjoyed watching her cheer and escorting her as a member of two homecoming courts. Jeremy Clark - Mr. Clark attended Daphne High School during the years of 1999 to 2002. After high school he attended University of Alabama from 2002 to 2006.Mr. Clark graduated in May 2006 with a BS in Consumer Science. Currently he is employed for his fifth year with the NFL as a free agent football player. Mr. Clark has played with the Philadelphia Eagles, NY Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and the Arizona Cardinals. Some of the personal accomplishments and contributions that he is most proud of is being part of the wonderful class of 2002. Mr. Clark helped the football team win its first state championship. He is also very proud of making it out of Ms. Fowler's government class in one piece. One of the fondest memories that Mr. Clark has from his years at Daphne High School is being part of the 2001 6A State Championship team.
Brooke Dailey - Ms. Daily attended Daphne High School from 1998 to 2002. After graduating she went to The University of Alabama and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2007. Ms. Dailey currently lives in Huntsville, Alabama where she is working for Aero Thermo Technology, Inc. and is an aerospace engineer, providing missile simulation and design work to the US Army. Some of the proudest memories while at Daphne High School for Ms. Dailey include being a member of the Sound of the Eastern Shore. While serving as Captain of the color guard and Winterguard her senior year. Also helping to lead each group to many superior ratings and first place finishes is yet another proud memory. One of the fondest memories that Ms. Dailey has from her years at Daphne High School is of her hard work and dedication and performing with the Winterguard for the last time. Daphne High School took home first place that night as Champions for the first time since the formation of the Winterguard.
Vicki Fowler - Ms. Fowler has been teaching at Daphne High School for twenty-one years. She graduated from Fairhope high school and attended University of South Alabama, where she graduated in 1985 with a degree in Social Studies Education She is currently employed at Daphne High School teaching Government and Economics. There are too many fond memories to recount during the years here at Daphne High.
Libby Hill - Mrs. Hill has volunteered at Daphne High School for many years when her son Andy was a student and a football player. She remains very involved with football as a member of the Senior Bowl Committee. Mrs. Hill has been married to Eddie Hill for thirty-five years. She has one daughter, Elizabeth, who graduated from Daphne High School in 1999. She also has a precious grandson, Sam, who is three years old. Her daughter is expecting their second grandchild in January. Mr. and Mrs. Hill have lived in Spanish Fort for twenty-six years. Some of Mrs. Hill's fondest memories are being asked to be Quarterback Club President for three years and all of the wonderful times that went along with such an honor. Mrs. Hill is extremely proud that Daphne High School prepared both of her children for their college careers.
Travis Johnson - Mr. Johnson attended Daphne High School from 1999 to 2002. He attended Stillman College and Alabama State University. Mr. Johnson was named freshmen of the year on his baseball team at Stillman College. He lives is in Daphne with his beautiful girlfriend, Alexis Palmer. They have a son named Travaris. Mr. Johnson is currently employed at ACE Hardware Corporation. Some of the proudest moments for him while at Daphne High School were being a part of the State Championship football and baseball teams in the same year. Mr. Johnson's fondest memories from his years at Daphne High School are the Friday Night Lights. Dr. Michael Miller - Dr. Miller attended Daphne High School from 1998 to 2000. After high school he went to Auburn University and majored in Zoology. He graduated in 2004 with a BS degree. He then went on to UAB School of Dentistry where he graduated with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 2008. Mr. Miller is married to Nicole Miller and they reside in Orange Beach along with their daughter Hallie. He is the owner of Miller Family Dentistry. Some of Mr. Miller's accomplishments while here at Daphne High School were graduating Valedictorian, being a member of National Honor Society and being a second year starter on the baseball and football team. One of the fondest memories from his years at Daphne High School is playing for the state championship in baseball.
Dr. Nicole Worshum - Dr. Worshum attended Daphne High School from 1997 to 2001. She went on to attend Mississippi State University where she received her BS degree in 2005 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Currently Dr. Worshum is the Associate Veterinarian at Parkway Veterinary Hospital in Boston, MA. One of the personal accomplishments that she is most proud of is becoming drum major and valedictorian of her graduating class. Dr. Worshum's fondest memories of her time at Daphne High School revolve around her time as a band member. Being able to be a part of an award winning organization will always be a memory to cherish.
