School Volunteer Recertification (Enhanced Essential 3)
° If you have attended the Virtus training in person more than 3 years ago, you WILL need to re-certify. Your updated participation in the Enhanced Essential 3 will make our community a safer place.
° To be able to volunteer in the classroom or on field trips: ~ Please go to www.virtus.org and login to your account. ~ Watch a video titled " Keeping the Promise Alive". This will appear on the page as an "Online Training Module" (assigned 12/9/15). ~ There will be a series of questions that you will need to complete online. ~ Go to the task bar on the left and click on background check – follow instructions, all the way to the end. It will have you complete the code of conduct. There is also an option to do a credit check, if you would like to do that as well, you my do that at this time. (credit checks are only required if the volunteer plans to count or handle money. ~ You should receive notification that the Essential 3 has been completed.
For those volunteers who have not attended a Virtus training, completed a background check or Code of Conduct, we are offering a Virtus session on Monday, May 9 from 6:15-9:15 pm in the parish Great Room. You must be preregistered. You may complete your background check, as well as read and sign a Code of Conduct by setting up an account online at www.virtus.org.
Your inolvement in our Catholic school as a volunteer, who interacts with children, youth or vulnerable adults warrants compliance with the Archdiocese’s Safe Environment requirements. We value the help, talents and support that our volunteers give us.
