Daniels Mini Aussies & Mini Americans Our Health Guarantee/Contract and Other Information

The very act of payment for this puppy will suffice and stand as your signature of agreement to the terms stated below, making this a binding contract.

We will provide you with a beautiful, healthy puppy that will be a companion for life. Our puppies will have all their vaccines for their ages, be wormed, have their tails docked, and be loved and spoiled by our family. We guarantee your puppy to be free of disease at the time of purchase. (Puppy worms or parasites are not covered in this contract, as they are common in puppies.)

You agree to have the puppy examined by your own veterinarian within 3 working days following possession of puppy. This will assure that you have a healthy puppy. If any sign of illness is found (other than worms, diarrhea from change in diet, change of environment or travel stress, etc.), you must contact us immediately. You may elect to keep the puppy and assume all costs for its care, or return the puppy for a full refund upon our receipt of the veterinarian’s statement* regarding the puppy’s health. You are responsible for any and all vet/medical bills.

You agree to properly socialize and expose your puppy to various situations as to develop a sound temperament. The first two years are especially important. It is strongly recommended that your puppy attend obedience school and/or puppy kindergarten. It is important that the puppy learns who the leader is and how to socialize with other puppies/dogs as well as people.

Although our puppies may be breed or show quality, we do not sell them as such. This does not mean they are not show quality, this just means they are not GUARANTEED to be show quality. They are sold as pets only. If you do decide to show your puppy or enter it in any competition, please let us know how he or she does!

We are now including a spay/neuter clause in our Health Guarantee. Because of all the breeding rules, regulations, and requirements, we feel that this is in the best interest of all concerned. We will hold registration papers on puppies until proof* of spay or neuter by the attending veterinarian is received by us. We recommend that this be done between 8-12 months of age (preferably 12 months).

Your puppy will be as big as he or she is meant to be. We can give you the sizes of your puppy’s mom and dad, but there are no guarantees that this puppy will not end up being bigger or smaller than its parents.

Our breeding dogs are Penn HIP or OFA tested. We also test for HC and PRA-prcd. By doing this, we hope to avoid any medical problems with the puppies our dogs produce. If, however, within the first twelve months from date of birth, your puppy develops any eye defects, hip dysplasia, or any inheritable or genetic defect which would prevent it from enjoying a reasonable and normal life, we will replace the puppy with a comparable puppy from our next litter. No money will be refunded. If you find, within the first twelve months from date of birth, that your puppy has a genetic defect and you wish to keep the puppy, you may do so with the understanding that all costs incurred will be your responsibility. Any claim of a defect must be accompanied with written proof* from a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of testing.

Please be advised that you should not engage your puppy in high jumping or agility exercises until he is over one year of age. Puppy bones need time to grow and become strong enough for these activities.

Never give this puppy Ivermectin products. Your puppy may be registered ASDR and/or MASCA for Mini Aussies or AKC for Mini Americans. We require that when registering your puppy you keep "Daniels Mini" as the prefix. (ex. Daniels Mini Rover) Revised 1-20-15 Forms will be sent after proof of spay/neuter.

If you ever feel it necessary to give up your puppy or dog and need help finding a home for it, please contact us first. All sales are final, but we will help you in any way we can. Do not take this pup to a shelter.

We have cared for your puppy and given him love, attention, and vet care in order to get him ready for your home. Once this puppy leaves our home, we cannot assume responsibility any longer. He or she becomes the sole responsibility of you, the owner. All costs incurred from the time you take possession of your puppy is your responsibility, so please be cautious of what you do with your puppy, where you take him, and what he does. Give him love and attention, vet care, a good home, a safe place to sleep, good food and clean water every day.

Keep him or her up to date on all vaccines.

This contract is non-transferable. Should you relinquish ownership of your puppy, for any reason, this contract shall be null and void.

*Before any guarantees will be honored, we must be provided with a veterinarian’s statement, on veterinarian’s letterhead, stating the genetic origin or health condition as well as prescribed treatment routine. We reserve the right to have a second veterinarian of choice evaluate the dog’s condition before the guarantee will be honored, except in the case of OFA evaluated hip x-rays or CERF eye results.
