PROGENY 103
Set 18 years after Charmed Season 8, based around Wyatt and Chris. Wyatt is now 21 and Chris is 18. There is also 16-year-old Prudence Melinda. Demons haven’t caused many problems over the past few years, but it hasn’t stopped the boys from preparing, just in case. Suspicions rise when a top business man is found murdered, and an athame is found at the crime scene. Meanwhile, in the underworld, a new Source has been created, after marrying a witch. And to top it all off, the Source’s bride is Paige’s charge and Wyatt has fallen for the Source’s powerful daughter, who’s not all she seems.
EPISODE 3: EBONY catches her father telling DAMIEN he is using EBONY to get to WYATT, EBONY decides to run away. She runs to WYATT to tell him she got away from The Source and needs help.
1. INT HALLIWELL MANOR. ATTIC. DAY. PRUDENCE is sat practising her magic. PAIGE is stood, on the telephone.
PAIGE I know Piper, I’m here with her don’t worry. She’s capable and you know that.
PRUDENCE Aunt Paige…?
PAIGE (to PRUDENCE) Just a minute honey. (into telephone) Yeah, I know. I’ll keep an eye on her while she practises her magic. She’ll be fine though.
A demon shimmers into the house. PRUDENCE sees the demon and freezes it. PAIGE turns to see the demon
PAIGE Yeah, Piper, I’m gonna have to call you back…No, nothing’s wrong.
PRUDENCE uses her electricity power to kill the demon.
PAIGE Erm, actually it’s ok.
CUT TO – OPENING CREDITS.
2. INT UNDERWORLD. CAVERN THE SOURCE is sat on his throne. EBONY is stood in front of him.
EBONY Dad, this will work. Trust me. As soon as Wyatt thinks he knows where I am, then he’ll come for me and then you’ll have him.
SOURCE I thought it would have worked by now.
EBONY You need to send someone to lure him here. He doesn’t know where I’ve been ‘taken’ does he? He may be powerful but premonitions aren’t his power.
SOURCE Ok, I guess you’re right. Go and send someone then.
EBONY exits. DAMIEN flame-shimmers in.
DAMIEN Dad…
SOURCE What is it now?
DAMIEN There’s a problem.
SOURCE Not now, Damien.
DAMIEN But dad, it’s Ebony’s plan. I’ve heard other demons talking. They’re saying if her plan works, she’ll be the one they follow, not you. If she gets Wyatt down here it’s just a matter of time before she has the power to take over you.
SOURCE Damien, she won’t be the one that takes the credit, and she won’t get that kind of power. Other demons don’t know her plan, do they?
DAMIEN How do you know that? SOURCE I know Damien. Is that all you have to tell me?
DAMIEN Yeah…
SOURCE So go. I need you to help Ebony with her plan. Go and talk to her
The SOURCE flame-shimmers out. DAMIEN starts to walk away.
DAMIEN Did you get that?
A demon creeps out of the shadow
DAMIEN Did you get the plan?
DEMON Yes sir.
DAMIEN Right, go and tell the other demons. I don’t want Ebony’s plan succeeding. I will become the next source, not her.
CUT TO – COMMERCIAL BREAK
CUT TO – INT MAGIC SCHOOL. ADVANCED MAGIC CLASS. DAY. LEO is stood in front of the class, along with WYATT. WYATT is staring at the empty seat that was EBONY’S. CHRIS realises what he’s looking at.
LEO Now, I know what has happened is bad, but just to let you all know the protection spell is now stronger and…
WYATT Why does that matter dad?
LEO Wyatt?
WYATT Well, c’mon, demons got past my protection spell, soon they’ll find a way to get past Aunt Paige’s protection spell. Magic School will never be protected from demons anymore.
WYATT exits
LEO Chris?
CHRIS I don’t know…
STUDENT Is he right?
LEO No he’s not right. Maybe demons will find a way around the protection spell but at the same time, we’ll find a stronger protection spell. Demons won’t get in here.
STUDENT Yet Wyatt thinks they will.
LEO I know you’re going to believe what Wyatt thinks and if you all give up then it’ll become true. But if you all carry on with your magic, it makes it harder for demons to get in here and also makes it harder for them to repeat what happened last week.
CHRIS Yeah guys. If we all stick together and get stronger then the better chance we have of protecting this place for our siblings and cousins.
STUDENT #2 Yeah, Chris is right. We have to stick together. We can’t let the demons win. We’re the ones that can keep magic school the way it is.
LEO Thank you, Chloe. You’re all going to face demons in your future. But with your magical abilities I know you can protect yourselves. Now I’m still here to teach those that still want to be taught. If you don’t wish to learn anymore then I suggest you leave now, however the more you know the better you can protect yourselves and your family. Does anybody want to leave?
Everybody stays silent
LEO I’ll take that as a no then. Right, advance magic…
CUT TO – INT UNDERWORLD. SOMEWHERE. TWO DEMONS are talking.
DEMON #1 The Source’s daughter is luring Wyatt Halliwell down to the underworld.
DEMON #2 What? And lead him to us?
DEMON #1 No, you idiot. She’s luring him here to kill him. Our powers are more powerful down here, so hers will do too, which mean’s the witch’s powers won’t.
DEMON #2 Oh right. Wait, Wyatt Halliwell is one of the most powerful witches. If she kills him, she’ll be the most powerful demon! She’d overthrow her father.
THE SOURCE flame-shimmers in
SOURCE Is that what you think?
Both the demons kneel on the ground
DEMON #1 Sire…
DEMON #2 We are at your service…
SOURCE I know you are. Now what is this about my daughter overthrowing me.
DEMON #1 We don’t know what you mean, sire.
SOURCE Don’t lie to me.
The SOURCE produces a fireball but holds it in his hand
SOURCE Now, what do you know? DEMON #1 Well, if she kills Wyatt Halliwell then she’ll prove to be more powerful than you.
SOURCE Really?
DEMON #2 Yes sire. No demon has managed to kill the Charmed One’s children, even when they were babies. If Ebony manages it…
SOURCE If Ebony manages it, what?
DEMON #2 We’ll have no choice but to make her leader.
SOURCE throws the fireball at DEMON #2 killing him
DEMON #1 Sire, he was talking for himself.
SOURCE No he wasn’t.
THE SOURCE throws a fireball at DEMON #1 killing him. THE SOURCE exits in a flame-shimmer
CUT TO – UNDERWORLD. CAVERN DAMIEN is stood by the SOURCE’S throne. The SOURCE flame- shimmers in
SOURCE Ok, so you were right.
DAMIEN I told you, didn’t I?
SOURCE Don’t get cocky with me.
DAMIEN Sorry, father.
SOURCE Now then, I want you to stop Ebony’s plan from happening.
DAMIEN What? But I thought you wanted Wyatt Halliwell here. SOURCE I do, but she’s not the one that’s going to get him here. You are.
DAMIEN I am?
SOURCE Yes. I want to you stop any attempts that Ebony makes and we’ll talk later about what you’re going to do.
DAMIEN Yes father.
SOURCE Now go.
DAMIEN flame-shimmers out. SOURCE looks around the exits.
EBONY enters from behind a wall. She looks angry.
CUT TO – INT MAGIC SCHOOL. CORRIDOR. DAY. WYATT is stood in the corridor. LEO enters from a room.
LEO Wyatt.
WYATT Dad, look I’m sorry for what I did in there…
LEO What’s wrong?
WYATT I don’t know. It’s just with Ebony missing, I couldn’t help it. I’ll go in there and explain.
LEO It’s ok, they’re carrying on with their magic. They know it’s better to learn more than run away.
WYATT I’m really sorry.
LEO I know, and I think you should take the time off this job and concentrate on fighting the demons
WYATT I thought you and mom wanted me to slow down from the demon fighting after Aunt Phoebe’s premonition.
LEO That’s not going to happen, me and you mom know that. You mom faced death every day and even when there were premonitions of her death she’d still go out there, just be more careful, and that’s what we want you to do.
WYATT So, I’m allowed to fight demons ready for the Source.
LEO Yes. There’s no point you being here with you mind on other things.
The bell rings. All the students exit from the classroom. CHRIS stops with LEO and WYATT
CHRIS Hey.
WYATT Ok dad. I’ll concentrate on the Source.
LEO smiles and exits.
CHRIS What was all that about?
WYATT I’m not staying with the advanced magic class. I’m gonna concentrate on the demons. Hopefully find out which one broke into here and took Ebony.
CHRIS You have a thing for her.
WYATT No, she’s an innocent in trouble. I have to save her, and that’s what we’re about.
CHRIS Fine, I’m going with you.
WYATT No you’re not. You’re staying in your classes. Plus, I’m not going anywhere yet. I don’t even know where she is.
CHRIS Maybe we could find out together. C’mon, Wyatt, I learn better from doing stuff, you know that better than anyone.
WYATT Talk to dad, ok? But for now I’m going back home to see how Prue’s doing.
WYATT orbs out.
CUT TO – UNDERWORLD. EBONY’S BEDROOM. EBONY is sat at her dressing table. She is writing a note. She finishes the note and stands up. She rips her top slightly and messes her hair up. She exits in a flame-shimmer.
CUT TO – INT STREET. DAY. WYATT is walking down the street. He is thinking. We see EBONY walking towards him. She looks shaken, and as if she has just escaped from somewhere. They bump into each other.
WYATT Oh, sorry I was…(realising it’s EBONY) Ebony!
EBONY Wyatt! Oh thank God!
EBONY hugs WYATT.
CUT TO – COMMERCIAL BREAK
CUT TO – INT HALLIWELL MANOR. LIVING ROOM. DAY. PIPER is cleaning the house. WYATT and EBONY enter.
WYATT Hey mom.
PIPER Wyatt, why aren’t you at…?
WYATT Hey, sorry, this is Ebony.
PIPER I thought… WYATT Yeah, she was, but se escaped.
EBONY Hi.
PIPER Hi. (shouting) Paige.
PAIGE enters in orbs.
PAIGE You called? (sees EBONY) Ebony!
EBONY Paige. Hi.
PAIGE Wait, Leo told me… WYATT Aunt Paige, she escaped. Look, she has no where to stay and while demons can still get into magic school I was wondering…
PAIGE Demons can’t get into magic school now, I made the protection spell stronger.
WYATT But it’s only going to be a matter of time until they get in. Mom, maybe it’s best for her to stay here. That way, if this demon comes after her again…
PIPER She can stay here, Wyatt.
WYATT Thanks mom.
EBONY Thanks Mrs Halliwell.
PIPER Oh no, it’s Piper, honey. Paige can you do me a favour…
PAIGE Why are you not at magic school?
WYATT Dad told me not to bother. While there’s a new Source I need to concentrate on him. PAIGE Oh right.
EBONY Do you wanna know who this demon was, Wyatt?
WYATT Yeah. We’ll be up in the attic.
WYATT and EBONY exit upstairs.
PAIGE There’s something off. How did she just get away?
PIPER Wyatt didn’t say. Anyway, can you do me a favour? Go to magic school and tell Leo that Ebony’s here.
PAIGE Yeah, plus if we find the demon that got into magic school.
CUT TO – INT UNDERWORLD. EBONY’S BEDROOM. LYNDSEY is looking around the room. She sees the note on the dressing table.
LYNDSEY (reading the note) I have to get away, don’t try to find me.
LYNDSEY looks to the door and then at the note again. She put the note in the bin and sets fire to it. She waves her arm out to the side. A demon shimmers in.
DEMON #3 Yes my queen?
DEMON #3 gets onto one knee.
LYNDSEY My daughter has ran away and I think I know where she has gone. I want you to go to the Halliwell manor and see if she is there and then report back to me. I don’t want the Source finding out and if you come across any of the Charmed Ones or their children, kill them.
DEMON #3 Yes my queen. DEMON #3 shimmers out.
CUT TO – INT HALLIWELL MANOR. ATTIC. DAY. WYATT and EBONY are looking through the Book of Shadows. PRUDENCE enters
PRUDENCE Oh, hey, I was just going to…Ebony! You’re back.
EBONY Yeah, I’m back.
PRUDENCE But I thought you were…
EBONY I got away.
WYATT Hey, Prue can you gives us some time. We’re trying to find a demon.
PRUDENCE Sorry, I was going to practise some magic.
WYATT Well, can it wait?
PRUDENCE Sure. What are you doing here? I mean…
EBONY I’m staying here.
PRUDENCE Really.
WYATT Yeah, she’s staying in your room
PRUDENCE Ok.
EBONY Oh, that’s it.
We now see she’s stopped at the page of her father. But the page doesn’t say he’s the SOURCE.
WYATT Theo, he’s an upper level demon. He feeds on witches’ powers to make him more powerful. How did you escape?
EBONY I don’t know. One minute I was there and the next I was walking around the street.
PRUDENCE You can’t remember how you escaped from…where were you?
EBONY I don’t know. It was dark, and…it seemed underground. I tried calling for Paige but she never came. I tried calling for you and you never came. It was like…
WYATT We couldn’t hear you.
EBONY I was so scared.
CHRIS and LEO orb in
LEO Ebony!
EBONY Leo.
LEO How are you?
EBONY Good now I know I’m safe.
LEO You’re staying here, right?
WYATT Mom said she could.
LEO Good. Are you ok? Were you hurt?
EBONY I’m fine.
WYATT We’ve got the demon that got into magic school.
LEO Great, I’ll go and see your mother.
LEO exits
CHRIS So, what’s the plan?
DEMON #3 shimmers in. He looks to see EBONY stood with WYATT. EBONY looks shocked.
EBONY Wyatt…
DEMON #3 looks to see PRUDENCE stood alone. He throws an energy ball at her. PRUDENCE freezes the energy ball, but it doesn’t freeze the demon. CHRIS moves the energy ball back at DEMON #3 but the demon shimmers out.
WYATT Who was that?
CHRIS Check the book, if demons know Ebony’s here, they’ll attack again.
PRUDENCE Do you need any potions?
WYATT Possibly, just promise to make the right one this time.
CUT TO – INT PAIGE’S HOUSE. LIVING ROOM. EVENING. PAIGE orbs in with LYNDSEY. LYNDSEY’S arm is bleeding.
PAIGE Ok, sit down.
8-year-old HENRY JNR enters
HENRY JNR Mommy, mommy, look at this!
HENRY JNR shows that he can conjure an apple.
PAIGE Oh, Junior, that’s brilliant. But can you give me a few minutes with Lyndsey and then I’ll be straight with you.
HENRY JNR (disappointed) Ok, mommy. PAIGE Junior, I promise, just a few minutes.
HENRY JNR exits
LYNDSEY He’s so cute. Is he just coming into his powers?
PAIGE Yeah, he knew he would get some. It looks like he can conjure things.
LYNDSEY You’re lucky. At least you’ve managed to have a bit of a normal life with him. My daughter came into her powers when she was still inside of me.
PAIGE Really? My sister, Piper, found the same thing. Anyway, let’s get you healed.
PAIGE heals LYNDSEY
LYNDSEY I really should stop getting myself into these messes, shouldn’t I?
PAIGE I’m here to help you, Lyndsey. Don’t worry about it. I’d just say be a little more careful.
DAMIEN flame-shimmers in. He looks at LYNDSEY.
DAMIEN Mom?
PAIGE is thrown back by this. DAMIEN flame-shimmers out.
PAIGE Mom?

CUT TO – INT HALLIWELL MANOR. LIVING ROOM. NIGHT. PIPER, PHOEBE and LEO are all sat on the couch. PAIGE is pacing in front of them PAIGE And then he called her mom.
PHOEBE A demon called your charge mom?
PAIGE Yeah, and I don’t think it was any demon. He entered in flames. You know, like you did when you were Queen of the underworld.
PHOEBE You think he’s the Source?
PIPER Is that possible?
LEO What?
PIPER For the son of a witch to become the Source of all Evil?
LEO It depends if the witch is good.
PAIGE I’m her Whitelighter, she must be a good witch.
PHOEBE Do you think, maybe she’s managed to cloak her evil to the Elders?
LEO I don’t think that’s possible, Phoebe.
WYATT, CHRIS, PRUDENCE and EBONY enter from upstairs.
WYATT Hi people, bye people.
PIPER Wait, where are you all going?
CHRIS We have some work to do.
PIPER Some work?
PRUDENCE Yeah, we need to go to the library.
PIPER Right, because you need to take potions to the library.
CHRIS What potions?
PIPER The ones in Prue’s hands.
WYATT Prue, I said hide them.
PRUDENCE I didn’t think she’d see them.
LEO Where are you going?
WYATT We had a demon attack in the attic?
PIPER Why didn’t you tell me?
PRUDENCE For the same reason Aunt Paige didn’t tell you about the demon attack this morning.
PIPER There was a demon attack this morning?
PAIGE Prue!
PRUDENCE Sorry. I took care of it though.
PAIGE She did, the demon was vanquished before I could do anything.
CHRIS Anyway, back to this demon.
EBONY Look, it’s my fault, this demon’s after me. They just want to get it before there’s any more.
PHOEBE You know, Piper, I think you can trust them to go and do this. You know if they need us, they’ll come to us.
LEO They did save Phoebe’s life.
PIPER Ok, but you need us orb straight here.
WYATT Yes mom.
WYATT, CHRIS, PRUDENCE and EBONY exit.
PIPER I’m scared for them, ok?
CUT TO – INT UNDERWORLD. SOMEWHERE. DEMON #3 is stood around. He seems to be waiting for someone. WYATT, CHRIS, PRUDENCE and EBONY enter.
DEMON #3 How did you find me?
WYATT The way witches find all demons…
PRUDENCE Scrying.
DEMON #3 What do you think you’re going to do? Kill me? You don’t know how to vanquish me.
CHRIS Actually, yes we do.
DEMON #3 The Source will kill you all.
EBONY He won’t get a chance
PRUDENCE throws the potion at the demon. DEMON #3 is vanquished. WYATT Let’s get home. WYATT, CHRIS, PRUDENCE and EBONY orb out. LYNDSEY flame- shimmers in. She looks at the marks where DEMON #3 was vanquished.
LYNDSEY Damn witches.
CUT TO – INT HALLIWELL MANOR PIPER, PHOEBE, PAIGE and LEO are still how they were, except PAIGE is now sat down.
PAIGE I need to find out what she’s hiding.
PHOEBE Maybe she’s not hiding anything. Maybe her son really was taken when he was younger. I mean, it nearly happened to Wyatt, didn’t it?
PAIGE But that was because he was the most powerful good force… unless her son was going to be the most powerful evil force.
LEO I think you should look into it more.
WYATT, CHRIS, PRUDENCE and EBONY orb in
PIPER How did it go?
WYATT One demon vanquished.
PHOEBE See, you can trust them.
EBONY Yeah, hopefully he couldn’t tell any other demon where I was hiding. I wouldn’t want to cause any problems here.
PIPER Oh, don’t worry about that, that wouldn’t be anything new.
LEO And anyway, you need protecting right now…
WYATT And who better to protect you?
EBONY Thank you.
