MEDICAL SERVICES, VETERINARY SURGEON, FARRIER AND PHOTOGRAPHER IN ATTENDANCE Hot refreshments available CLASSES

1. To run under the guidelines of British Eventing Rules 2014 2. All riders must be in full time education at the school or college they represent in 2014 (age under 19 on 1st January 2014). 3. The competition is open to NSEA members and non-members alike. You do not have to become an NSEA member to enter this competition.

CLASS 1: MINI CLEAR ROUND JUMPING FROM 9AM-11.30AM (Class 1 & 1A Run in a separate arena). .Working hunter style fences 1’6”–1’9” approx. CLASS 1A: MINI COMPETITION Working hunter style fences 1’6”-1’9” approx. Bonus fences 2’ approx Team competition starts at 11.30am. Teams to comprise of four pupils. Run as a timed relay. Lead rein permitted.

CLASS 2: NOVICE – PAIRS (2’6”) Horse/Pony & Rider combination must never have been placed 1st in any BE, Riding Club, Pony Club or similar event at fence heights approx. 2’6” Cross country fences approx. 2’6”

CLASS 3: NOVICE - INDIVIDUAL & TEAM (2’6”) Horse/Pony & Rider combination must never have been placed 1st in any BE, Riding Club, Pony Club or similar event at fence heights approx. 2’6” Cross country fences approx. 2’6”

CLASS 4: INTERMEDIATE – PAIRS (2’9” – 3’) Cross country fences approx. 2’9”-3’

CLASS 5: INTERMEDIATE – INDIVIDUAL & TEAM (2’9” – 3’) Cross country fences approx. 2’9”-3’

CLASS 6: OPEN – INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM (3’3”) Cross country fences approx. 3’3”

TEAMS 1. Teams of 3 or 4 – three scores to count. 2. Where ever possible Teams and Pairs should be from the same school, but where this is not possible mixed teams and pairs are permitted. 3. All competitors entered in Teams will automatically count as individuals.

PAIRS There will be dressing fences on the course.

INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES Individual entries from schools unable to field a team or make a pair are very welcome.

PRIZES Individual Rosettes: 1st – 10th Pairs Rosettes : 1st – 6th Team Rosettes: 1st – 6th Trophies/Prizes: Individual Winners of each Class, Pairs & Team Winners of each Class, Photogragh courtesy of Hoofprints for every winner. Souvenir Rosettes: For all competitors ENTRY FEES TEAMS: OF 3 or 4 Competitors: £90 per Team per class, (automatic entry as an individual) PAIRS: £48 per pair INDIVIDUAL: £25 MINI TEAMS: £60 CLEAR ROUND: £10 per round Medical Fee: £5.00 per rider

Please note: 1. Cheques payable to: Winchester House School Trust Ltd 2. Please note that a £5.00 refundable deposit will be required by the Secretary on collection of each Number Bib. Voluntary donation of refundable deposit to Warwickshire Air Ambulance.

STABLING Overnight stabling is available on site by prior arrangement – for enquiries please contact Lesley Smith on 01295 760230.

THE COMPETITION All classes will be run under an optimum time. Times and distances will be published on the day of course walking.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. The competition will run in accordance with BE rules except:  Riders do not need to have their hat tagged but must comply with condition of entry 3.  A horse may only compete twice, and only once in any individual class.

2. Timing devices: No stop watches or any form of timing equipment may be worn during any class whilst competing. Immediate disqualification will occur if evident.

3. Hard hats. Hats of the correct standard, body protectors & Medical Armbands must be worn.

4. Dress Code: Cross country colours with the correct foot ware. Half chaps, black or brown, may be worn with standard riding jodhpur boots of the same colour, but no tassels allowed. School numnahs are permitted.

5. Reservation of right: The Organisers reserve the right to: a) cancel the event, in which case entry fees will be refunded, b) Ballot in the event of over subscription, c) Alter the cross country course if necessary.

6. Withdrawals: For a full entry fee refund the Entry Secretary must be notified before the closing date 6th May 2013. Tel: 01295 760230. After that date, fees will only be refunded on presentation of a veterinary or medical certificate.

7. Objections: Any objections must be handed to the Chief Steward in writing with a deposit of £10 within ten minutes of the result being published.

8. Dogs: Dogs must be kept on a short lead and under control at all times.

9. Lorry Park: Please do not leave horses and ponies unattended in the lorry park.

10. Health & Safety: The Organisers of this event have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and MUST obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials and Stewards.

11. Liability: Whilst every care will be taken, neither the Organisers nor any person acting on their behalf, or the Landowners can accept liability for loss, damage, accident or injury to persons, horses or property. Competitors take part at their own risk.
