The Millennium Club

THE MILLENNIUM CLUB

What is it?

Initially formed as the 100 Club many years ago, the idea was to raise essential monies for club development through selling shares at £1 each with quarterly prize draws for its members.

Changing it to the Millennium Club was the idea of ex president Derek Hunter and ex women’s Casuals player Kathryn Mellor. This allowed us to increase the number of shares in the club to 1000, therefore allowing more benefits to both the club and to it’s members. As of 17/05/2016, the current prize draws are 1 x £200, 1 x £100, 3 x £50, 4 x £25 and 5 x £10 But with more members, could reach even higher amounts, so it’s beneficial to get friends and family involved too. For every share sold in the Millennium Club, 50p goes to the club development fund and 50p goes towards the prize money. So, for as little as £1/ month, you’re not only helping out your club, but you can also get some big notes in your back pocket. If you want a higher percentage of winning, simple, buy more shares.

What has this done for the club so far?

 Helped towards our floodlights  Purchased our scrum machine  Refurbished the Club House and Changing Rooms on several occasions  Helped towards the revamp of the electrics  Pays towards our annual fee to the British Waterways

This season it will help towards New Club Developments, further renovating the Social Area and Changing Rooms to benefit players, VP’s and Social Members.
