Reference Qualifications for nuclear JRC-IET ECVET 2015-01 decommissioning - Workshop Content The implementation of the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) in the nuclear energy sector is based on the JRC-IET road map. The first step was the preparation of nuclear job taxonomy for the lifecycle of a nuclear power plant (NPP) that has produced 140 job profiles, each of them qualified with the corresponding functions and competence requirements. The next step goes through the development of the competence based qualification system. In this context the Workshop's purpose is to boost ECVET implementation in NPP Decommissioning. With this objective the following tasks will be carried out during the Workshop:  Development of a methodology -ECVET oriented- for the design of qualifications in the decommissioning phase  Designing 1-2 qualifications, applying the methodology developed Date 6-9 October 2015 Place Lisbon (PT) JRC project EHRO-N http://ehron.jrc.ec.europa.eu Participant profile The participants should have: - familiarity with ECVET - experience in the design of qualifications and namely in the formulation of learning outcomes - a professional background closely related to decommissioning jobs - or any other proven expertise relevant to the content of the Workshop.

Participation The participation requests shall be submitted using the form in the Annex. requests The applications have to be sent to the functional mailbox JRC-IET- [email protected] before 10th July 2015. The IET will carry out a scrutiny and selection of the requests received. The admission will be based on the adequacy of the expertise provided and seeking for a balanced representation of organisations and nationalities. The participation will be confirmed before 15th July 2015. Required input The participants might be requested to provide some preliminary input as from participants preparation for the Workshop sessions. During the Workshop, they are expected to participate actively in the discussions and to carry out the assigned tasks following the guidelines of the organisers.
