1) 1239-1330 CAC CAC Nationwide Conversation

On Saturday 04 August, all CAP members are invited to participate in a list of 1-hour webinars. You can join in from your home, office, or squadron during any of 5 different times.

SAT 04 AUG 2012 Times in CDT

1) 1239-1330 CAC "CAC Nationwide Conversation"

2) 1400-1500 ITO "Cadets and Information Technology"

3) 1530-1630 PAO "Cadets and Public Affairs"

4) 1700-1800 ESO "Other ES Organizations and Cross-Training"

5) 1830-1930 DDR "Seedless Doesn't Mean Grapes"

First, how CAP webinars work:

The simplest way to join the webinar is just to call the telephone number listed below. You can talk and listen, too. The next step up is to use the phone to talk and your computer to see the PowerPoint slides. Just click on the underline below (it starts with https) and your computer will connect automatically through the Internet. Or you can connect through the Internet and then talk using a computer microphone. You can even hook up a video camera, if you prefer.

Next, a description of each webinar:

"CAC Nationwide Conversation"

Of course, it's better to share ideas and compare notes face-to-face, but that's not always possible. Here is a more affordable way for Cadet Advisory Councils to meet nationwide. Perhaps your experience will inspire others. Cadet CAC members are especially encouraged to attend.

"Cadets and Information Technology"

Cadets are valuable members of the team, especially in IT. If you know of a cadet with knowledge of computing, or web publishing, social media, digital art or photography, she or he may be an ideal Cadet Information Technology Officer.

"Cadets and Public Affairs"

Digital media, websites, photography, video, graphic arts: these are interesting to many of our cadet team members. It's not only about writing; it's about reaching out in every way possible, including enlisting the help of Cadet PAOs.

"Other ES Organizations and Cross-Training"

Members of all ages in CAP are cross-training as Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), volunteer fire fighters, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members, and officers in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (AUX). In this open conversation, members will compare notes and share strategies. "Seedless Doesn't Mean Grapes"

Ever get the feeling that some people don't really want you to understand the social activities going on all around you? Is your nephew wearing a "Seedless" hoody? Does your niece go to "Skittles" parties? Wake up dad!
