Small Works Projects

Blakely  The Reijnen Company has been hired to install the Rockwerx climbing wall. Work is scheduled for spring break. This project has been entirely funded through a private donation.

Ordway  Fairbank Construction/Hanley Construction will be replacing the worn-out roof at the Ordway kindergarten building over spring break. Work will also include replacing gutters and downspouts and replacing soffits.

Commodore  Hultz BHU Engineers have been hired to develop a scope of work for the decommissioning of the antiquated and inefficient Commodore boiler plant. New, high-efficiency HVAC equipment will be installed in those areas still on boiler-supplied heating. This work will result in improved indoor air quality, user comfort and lower operating costs.

Sakai  Gifford Industries has been hired to repaint the faded lines for the Sakai Gym. The flooring material is in great shape, given that it is 17+ years old and is used constantly for PE classes, assemblies, music, lunch, afterschool programs and community events. In addition to the high quality of the flooring product the contractor noted that proper maintenance is the primary contributor to the floor’s excellent condition.

Woodward  Coates Design has been hired to help develop a scope of work for the Woodward Portable retrofit. They are currently in the process of assembling information to determine the best path forward.

BHS  The BHS 200 Building lighting retrofit sample classroom setup has been rescheduled for a summer install in order to provide a new system that is both historically-reliable system and offers cutting-edge performance.  BHS campus usage signs have been installed.  The radio repeater for BHS 200 has been installed and is working as designed. Signal strength has been vastly improved across the entire campus.
