[email protected] Proceeds from BINGO (George Vadas and Ted Ratkus) and W&M Concessions (Mike Harris and Bob Garcia) permit our Council to perform our charitable works. The Month focused on the Highlight of Christians Throughout the World, the Birth of Jesus Financial Secretary Christ, on Christmas Day. God’s Blessings were given to our Father Rizer Council #6828 and to our families. Bob Burke January 2013, is filled with activities for our Council, Church, and Community. 129 MOHOGANY RUN On Saturday 5 Jan. and Sunday 6 Jan. 2013 we support the PORT effort starting at 5:45 WILLIAMSBURG, VA 23188 PM Sat 5 Jan. thru 7:45 AM Sun 6 Jan. Our Council will provide 30 Brother Knights, (757)206-1091 doing God’s work, under the coordination of Brian Gillette. Our Business Meeting, Thursday 10 Jan will cover activities for January and planning [email protected] for February 2013. All Brother Knights are urged to attend. Our Pastor, Monsignor Michael McCarron’s Farewell Mass and Reception (following Mass) will be conducted on Sunday 13 Jan at St. Bede. Chancellor Our Worthy Deputy Grand Knight, Tom Barr, will continue sign- ups for Lapel Rose James Town Distribution, after Masses on 12 Jan. and 13 Jan at St. Bede, under the coordination of PGK Don Seger. Sign-ups will be available to support the Free Throw Competition (757) 564-7063 on Sat 19 Jan, 8-11 AM at Walsingham; Coordinated by Brother Arthur “Rocky” [email protected] Natchus. Our Program Meeting featuring the First Degree will be conducted on Thurs 24 Jan at 7:30 PM, Parish Ctr. Coordination: Membership Director PGK Jack Tier. Family of the Month

The Family of the Month is that of Brother, PGK, Jack Tier and wife Bert. PGK Jack Tier is our Membership Director and takes a key part in our Council activities. Bert is very active in our KofC Ladies Social Group and in Parish Ministries.

(Feed the Hungry, Knight of the Month House the Homeless) “He’s not heavy, he’s my brother” th th The Knight of the Month is Brother Bob Jan 5 thru Jan 6 2013 Barron. Brother Barron is our Council’s 3 Shifts needed: Outside Guard and supports each effort we have within our Council. He is a key 1st Shift - 5:45 - 9:00 PM . -12 persons volunteer for our Council’s many Social 2nd Shift -8:45PM. - 4:45AM - 6 persons Programs. 3rd Shift - 4:30. - 7:45AM - 12 persons We still need help on shift 3!!! FUNDRAISING CORNER Once again the Fr Rizer Council excelled in its traffic control and parking ministry… Over 400 vehicles were parked plus another 150 or so shuttled from Green Springs Chapel lots… Amazingly the lots were cleared and all departed prior to 6 PM…I sure hope Santa was watching… Actually, I know it was the Holy Spirit working through us…Peace on Earth, at least at St Bede’s… Yes! March For Life Jan 25, 2013

The cost per seat will be $25.00. There is a discount for families and school children. (Children thru College are $10; Families are $40). There will be an opportunity for Youth to attend the Youth Rally at Verizon Center at 8AM and then go to the Rally, this will be coordinated by Richmond diocese and the St Bede Youth Director.

Please reserve a seat by 10 January, 2013. Payment is due by January 15th, 2013.
