Amendment INT League State Coordinator Contract May 7, 2009
INT League Policy and Procedures on weighting the wakeboard boats.
In an effort to produce a well shaped and firm wake, while staying within the safety recommendations of the boat manufactures, National Marine Manufactures Association, US Coast Guard, and American Boat & Yacht Council, these are the guidelines for weighting wakeboard boats at INT events:
A) The weight of the driver, judges, and riders in the boat B) The gear in the boat, including any additional after market ballast or weight
A+B= Should not to exceed maximum weight noted on the capacity plate.
I, the INT State Coordinator will adhere to the above formula, and will not exceed the maximum value on the capacity plate located in the boats. I am responsible for checking each wakeboard boat used in INT events to ensure that INT is adhering to the weight maximum plate. The weight in the boat must not exceed the maximum value allowed in either persons in the boat or gear weight.
I understand that an overloaded boat will handle differently and less responsive then a lightly loaded one, and will drive and turn the boat with this in mind. I will inform all boat drivers of any additional weight added to the boat, that is not immediately visible.
I agree and accept full responsibility and liability of any non-compliant actions at INT events where I am acting as the State Coordinator. I also release Sunshine Marketing dba INT League of any liability do to non-compliant behavior.

Nautique Owners Manual Section 1-12
“The capacity plate has the following information permanently printed on it. It is attached to the boat by the throttle for the operator to read before they drive the boat. - The total weight of persons, gear and other items which the boat is capable of carrying under normal conditions. This weight must include any added ballast other than the Nautique Launch Control System. - Death or serious injury can occur from overloading the boat. DO NOT purposely overload your Nautique boat. Do not fill the bilge area with water to act as ballast. - The maximum number of persons allowed on the boat. This information on the capacity plate applies under normal conditions. Check the capacity plate on your boat and abide by these limits. Notice: Correct Craft Inc. installs permanent wake enhancement ballast tanks called the Nautique Launch Control System in some models. The full weight of this system has already been considered in the boat weight and therefore does not influence maximum capacity unlike portable ballast tanks or weights, which must be included as party of the gear weight.
An overloaded Nautique will handle differently then a lightly loaded one. Drive and turn the boat with this in mind…”

Boat Weight: inboard engine or sterndrive – The boat weight includes engine, batteries, full fuel system, the heaviest production tolerances, and factory-supplied, permanently installed, non-portable appurtenances. (ABYC H-5.4)
Maximum Weight Capacity: The maximum weight capacity of inboard boats is determined by obtaining the boat’s cubic capacity of below a static float plane, converting this volume to the weight of water it would displace, subtracting the boat weight, and permitting one pound of load capacity for each seven pounds of remaining displacement. (ABYC H-5.6.3.1)
Number of Person in the Boat: The number of person shall not exceed the value determined by dividing the quantity of 32, plus the posted persons pound capacity, by 141 and rounding up or down to the nearest whole number. (ABYC H-5.6.3.2.2.1)
Persons Capacity: The maximum persons pound capacity shall not exceed the maximum allowable weight capacity. (ABYC H-5.6.3.2.2)
