It has been a long standing practice of the Anaheim Convention Center to permit licensed contractors to provide various electrical services to tenants, exhibitors and other persons at the Convention Center who require these services in connection with events held at the facility. The City of Anaheim, Anaheim Convention Center then requires that these contractors pay to the City of Anaheim a commission based on the revenues earned from these services.

The term of the agreement will be from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2017, and may be extended for two (2) additional one (1) year terms, and will require all twelve electrical contractors to pay the City of Anaheim 25% of gross billings earned from work performed at the Convention Center.

The electrical contractors will continue to provide services to Convention Center tenants and exhibitors on a non-exclusive basis.

IMPACT ON BUDGET:

Revenues received from the Agreements, estimated at $2 million annually, will be used to support Convention, Sports and Entertainment Department operations.

Respectfully submitted,

Thomas Morton Executive Director Convention, Sports & Entertainment Department
