Instructor (i.e. teaches 3 or more courses in the current academic year on a contract of less than 3 years duration or on secondment). It exercises its powers and duties under the provisions of its faculty/librarians Constitution, and the University of Toronto Act 1971, as amended). 5 instructors Academic Programs (makes recommendations to Council on all matter of curriculum 3 policy; reviews and recommends to Council for approval proposals for new programs, proposals 4 faculty Mark your choice(s) with for major modifications to existing programs; reviews and approves on behalf of Council an ‘X’ proposals for minor modifications to existing programs; makes recommendations to Council on admissions policy, etc.). Appeals (hears appeals on academic matters from OISE’s undergraduate students against N/A decisions of an instructor or officer of OISE or a standing committee of Council, and makes 0 faculty rulings on such appeals). Note: meets annually or from time to time as necessary. 4 Equity (identifies, discusses and advises Council on issues of equity, diversity, and accessibility, 2 faculty and makes recommendations to Council on equity policy and strategies as they pertain to teaching, 1 instructors learning and research activities at OISE). Research (identifies and recommends to Council general research priorities/initiatives for 5 OISE; reviews and recommends to Council policies and procedures regarding the conduct of 6 faculty research; reviews and recommends to Council for approval, the establishment, renaming and disestablishment of research centers and institutes). 6 OISE Council & Committee members are normally elected for 2-Year terms with the exception of instructors and B.Ed. students whose terms are designed as 1-Year terms.
