Conditional Temporary Electrical Power Application

The following shall be in compliance with the current North Carolina Administrative Code and the Administrative Section of the State Electrical Code.

To qualify the following conditions shall be met:

 Application fee (permit number placed on check)  Windows must be secured and doors must be locked. Access granted solely to the General, electrical, and mechanical contractor.  Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) must approve all equipment to be utilized.  Other than HVAC equipment the washing machine outlet and dryer may be energized and shall be GFCI protected in single-family dwellings.  The integrity of the electrical and mechanical systems shall be maintained in a safe condition.  The structure shall not be occupied until all final inspections have been approved, all fees have been paid and a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued.  Conditional power & gas may be granted for a period of 90 days.  The Electrical contractor shall state on company letterhead specifically which circuits will be energized for commercial applications.  A document on company letterhead signed and dated from the mechanical contractor stating specifically what equipment will be operational and that the warranty will not be violated.

The undersigned agrees to abide by the aforementioned stipulations, and understands failure to comply may result in the revocation of this contract.

$60 single trade fee and $60 land use fee must be submitted with the application or renewal = $120. Electrical and Gas combined ($120 + $60 land use fee) = $180 The inspector is to enter notes into the computer stating all conditions of conditional power & or gas connection and the expiration date. Upon approval and receipt of fees, on the F2 screen in the notification field enter the following. “P” is to be entered when only conditional power is approved, “G” is to be entered when only conditional gas is approved and “U” for both conditional power and gas. This notifies permitting staff to send approval to the proper utilities.
