They had kidnapped a child from/near Delhi Cantonment Railway Station and had further sold it to a childless couple . The complainant, is a permanent resident of Alwar, Rajasthan. She had on 30/3/2014 come to Delhi along with her family and were temporarily residing near Delhi Cantt. Railway Station. On 1-4-2014, her daughter was playing with her son who is around one year old. Two women came and offered food to her daughter at the time when she was out of her sight. They gave sedative in the food to her and then fled away with the boy . A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered at PS Mayapuri.

On 27/8/14 information was received that two persons involved in child trafficking would come to Janakpuri Metro Station , Najafgarh Road, Delhi. A trap was laid and two persons were apprehended including a woman . They were identified as Guljar Singh @ Gulzari (Aged 33 yrs) S/o Harbans Singh R/o Vishnu Garden Delhi and Surender Kaur @ Peeri (Aged 37 years) W/o Dalbir Singh R/O Tagore Garden ,Delhi.

They both were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that Surender Kaur of Jallandhar, Punjab after marriage had shifted to Delhi. She had two children from the first wedlock but the marriage ended due to personal differences between the couple. They both separated mutually and she returned to Punjab. After some time, she again married Dalbir Singh of Anandpur Sahib, Punjab. Around 8 months back, she along with her husband shifted to Delhi and initially resided at Khayala as a tenant before shifting to Tagore Garden, Delhi . The landlord couple where they stayed at Khayala were childless. They had tried to adopt a child but it didn't materialise. Surender Kaur was aware of this fact. Through a common friend, she came in contact with Gulzar Singh @ Gulzari who worked as a property dealer in unauthorised colony in West Delhi. Surender Kaur also joined him in this business but their earnings were meagre. She discussed with Gulzari that the landlord couple has no child and if they arrange a child, the same could be sold to the landlord couple . Gulzari agreed to the proposal and they roped in Neetu Kaur a tenant of same premises and a friend of Surender Kaur in their plan.Gulzari told them that he had seen small children of poor families near Railway stations and if they could kidnap one of the children, the same could be sold to the childless couple . They decided to carry out their plan at Delhi Canttonment Railway station.

On 1/4/14 morning , Surender kaur and Neetu Kaur went to Delhi Cantt. Railway Station and spotted one girl aged about 5 years playing with a small boy aged about 1 year. They started talking to her to get familiar with her and during talks offered food. They took the brother and sister near Chokhandi temple, Tilak Nagar and asked the girl to go back, but she insisted on going back with her brother. Meanwhile Gulzari also joined them. When the little girl consistently persisted, they put ‘Alprax’ in her food and gave it to her. The girl became unconscious and they left her near Delhi Cantonment Railway Station and fled away with the boy. They went to the childless landlord couple and Surender kaur told that the little boy is the son of Gulzari’s brother. Gulzari even gave it in writing. They received 50000/- from the childless couple which they distributed amongst themselves.

The boy has been recovered from the house of the childless couple and was later handed over to the real parents.

Surender kaur was also found to been previously involved in cases of kidnapping of Police Station Sadar, Alwar.

Further investigation is underway.
