DP Environmental Hauling, LLC, Shiawassee County

On March 8, 2006, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) entered into a Fast Track Consent Order (FTO) with DP Environmental Hauling, LLC (DP Environmental), to resolve alleged violations of the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, 1998 PA 138. Based on information obtained during a telephone discussion conducted on February 2, 2006, the DEQ issued a Letter of Warning (LOW) dated February 21, 2006, alleging that DP Environmental transported liquid industrial waste in Michigan without first registering and obtaining a permit for this transport. The FTO requires that DP Environmental maintain compliance with the hazardous materials transportation requirements and pay a $5,000 civil fine.
