SNMA brings together students committed to the health and well being of underserved populations with a focus on clinical care, academic medicine and service. In 1994, SNMA members founded the Imani Clinic – a student run facility which provides health care to the Oak Park community of Sacramento on a weekly Leon Cushenberry basis. Our goals are to 1) educate students, faculty, policy makers and the medical Student National Medical Alexis Gaskin community about the healthcare needs and concerns within underserved Daphne Shankle Association (SNMA) communities. 2) Increase student access to clinical opportunities working with and Heather Barnes within underserved communities. 3) Address issues concerning the medical Brittany Lewis education of traditionally under-represented students. 4) Provide a network of support and resources for current and prospective medical students.
