NEWSLETTER – JANUARY 2010

Happy New Year from FOES! This year offers a great opportunity to get involved with making things happen at your child’s school. If you’d like to get involved we’d be very pleased to see you. No special skills are needed – the next meeting is on Thursday 10th March at 8pm in the staff room – come and join us or return the slip below and have a say on how FOES should spend its money. We’ve recently purchased new sports kit, plus a number of digital cameras.

100 Club - If you haven't already become a member it’s not too late! Remember family and friends can also join, the more numbers bought the bigger the prizes, meaning more funds raised for the school. For as little as £12 you can become a member giving you the opportunity to win one of 4 cash prizes per term. More information and an application form can be obtained from the school office or e-mail ([email protected]). Don’t hesitate, join now in time for this term’s draw! Future Events

Friday 11th February – School Discos – From 6-7.30pm for children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 and from 7.45-9.15pm for the upper years. Tickets are £3 each, available from the school office at breaktimes only from Monday 7th February..

Friday 18th February – Hot Dog Lunch – a separate letter will be issued shortly, to enable you to book your child’s hot dog lunch. Two hot dogs, a cake and a drink are included in the price.

Friday 11th March – Race Night – A chance to win a fortune – or lose your shirt! Everyone that attended our previous Race Night had a brilliant time, so book your tickets as soon as possible for this. Cost includes a fish and chip supper. Bring your own bottle & glasses.

Friday 1st April – ‘Pyjama Party’ School Disco – optional fancy dress for this end of term school disco.

Saturday 21st May – Family Beetle Drive – a fun night for all the family to share!

Saturday 11th June – Summer Fayre – A great family day out. Details to follow, but keep the date clear! We’d like volunteers to help run this event – please reply via the tear off slip below.

Saturday 30th September – Family Quiz Night – With questions for children and adults alike, brush down your general knowledge and enjoy a meal too!

Saturday 22nd October - Halloween Party – family party – fancy dress optional!
