PLAY WOMENS FOOTBALL AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL MANLY UNITED FC

We are the Manly United Football Club (MUFC) teams that have been selected to represent the 17,000 player strong Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) in the elite Football NSW competition leagues.

Our women and girls play in the highest level of amateur competition available in Australia – the FNSW National Premier League 1 competition.

There are five grades - 13s, 15s, 17s Reserve Grade and First Grade. The Women’s NPL1 competition in 2016 will consist of 8 clubs and 2 Institute Programs (FNSW Institute and Newcastle Jets).

In season 2015, Manly United won the Women’s NPL1 Club Championship, this being the fourth time in the past 6 years, thus demonstrating the success of our youth development programmes.

All squads have a Head Coach, which are overseen by the Technical Director. The coaching staff are also assisted by specialists in the area of goalkeeping, specialist technique football coaches and physiotherapists.

Our home ground for matches and training is Cromer Park No.1, which is a state of the art, all weather playing surface, along with a covered grandstand, ground announcing facilities, spacious dressing rooms, physio room and the best canteen facilities in the competition. Likewise, our remaining training fields (4) have been completely renovated resulting in a club playing and training facility that is second to none in Sydney.

Women’s NPL1 play every Sunday, including Public Holiday weekends and school holidays. The 2016 season is expected to commence in March and will run through to approximately mid September (including the finals series). Your team plays at the same time each Sunday. Grade 13 @ 8.30am; Grade 15 @ 9.55am; Grade 17 @ 11.30am; Reserve Grade @ 1.05pm & 1st Grade @ 3pm.

Selection trials for the 2016 MUFC Grade 13 squad (birth dates 2003 & 2004), Grade 15 (birth dates 2001 & 2002), Grade 17 (birth dates 1999 & 2000) and First and Reserve Grade will commence on Sunday October 18th. The times for the trials are on the Manly United website. www.manyunitedfc.com.au

2016 also sees the continuation of the Girls SAP (Skills Acquisition Program) at Manly United. We are very excited to be one of very few NPL1 clubs to introduce this program to the female youth of the MWFA in 2014. There will be two SAP squads – U9/U10 and U11/U12. These squads will train twice a week for 30 weeks commencing in February 2016. Players will play with their own club and participate in regular training games against other Girls SAP teams. Trials will commence on Sunday 22 November and times are on the MUFC and MWFA websites.

We are enthusiastic and dedicated to developing the exceptional junior talent that exists in the MWFA basin and to providing the opportunity and pathway for each player to achieve their maximum potential. We look forward to seeing you and your family at our trials and wish you every success. Enquiries : Sharon Egger 0421 475840 [email protected]
