Can You Pull a Fire Truck 50 Feet?

AUSTIN – Got brawn? Help out a great cause while testing your strength, stamina and skills against some of Austin’s finest at the Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – Central Texas Area Fire Truck Pull on Saturday, June 5. All proceeds from the event go to support SOTX.

Sponsored by the Law Enforcement Torch Run Committee (LETR), the Fire Truck Pull is the ultimate challenge! Teams of 12 people will put their biceps and triceps to the test and work together to pull a 55,000 pound fire truck 50 feet! Awards will be presented for the Fastest Team Pull and Top Fundraising Team. Special awards will be given to teams made up of area emergency responders. Registration is open to the public.

The Fire Truck Pull will be held on June 5, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Kreig Softball Complex, located at 517 South Pleasant Valley Drive in Austin.
