LOCAL BBYO TEENS CELEBRATE SHABBAT WITH THOUSANDS WORLDWIDE AZA and BBG Global Shabbat Unites Global Jewish Community
City, State – On November 8-9, 2013, # members of the Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA – BBYO’s high school fraternity for young men) and the B’nai B’rith Girls (BBG – BBYO’s high school sorority for young women) will celebrate Judaism’s most holy tradition, Shabbat, with their peers worldwide as part of AZA and BBG Global Shabbat.
An international initiative of BBYO, the world’s leading pluralistic Jewish youth movement, AZA and BBG Global Shabbat consists of unique Shabbat celebrations in BBYO’s many communities centered on the same theme at the same time all over the world.

BBYO is teen-led and that is true of AZA and BBG Global Shabbat, too. Members nominate and then vote for the winning themes. Tthis year’s AZA theme is Im Tirzu Ein Zoh Agadah (If you will it, it is no dream) and the BBG theme is Omdim B’yachad, Am Echad, Bayit Echad (We Stand Together, One Nation, One Home).
