Resolutions

RESOLUTION: 2004-1828 CATEGORY: Agreements, Contracts, Leases SPONSORED BY: Councilman Dennis Suskind DEPARTMENT: Town Attorney Tabled 12/29/2004 10:00 AM

Authorization for Supervisor to Enter Into Lease Agreement with Bridgehampton Community House Association

WHEREAS, the Bridgehampton Community House Association (BCHA) has owned and maintained that certain building and grounds located at 2357 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton, New York, SCTM# 0900-86-1-8.1 for more than 50 years; and

WHEREAS, the premises has been used for the cultural, recreational and educational benefits of the residents of Bridgehampton and the Town of Southampton; and

WHEREAS, BCHA has asked the Town to acquire the Premises and to lease it back to BCHA, to ensure the continuity of this facility; and

WHEREAS, by entering into such an arrangement, BCHA will be able to continue to serve the cultural and other needs of such residents; and

WHEREAS, the Town is agreeable to such a purchase and lease arrangement, provided that BCHA continues to provide such public benefits consistent with its past practices, which will be incorporated into the terms of an agreement; and

WHEREAS, The Town will be holding a public hearing for the acquisition of the property which will be separately noticed on January 25, 2005, now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that, subject to a permissive referendum, the Town Board of the Town of Southampton authorizes the Supervisor to enter into a lease agreement with BCHA, subject to approval by the Town Attorney's Office, to further the cultural, recreational and educational benefits of the residents of the Town; and be it further

RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk, within ten (10) days of the adoption of this resolution shall publish a notice in accordance with section 90, Town Law, specifying, inter alia, that said resolution is subject to a permissive referendum.

Authorization for Supervisor to Sign Contract Amendment with Cole Layer Co.

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Southampton authorizes the Supervisor, subject to approval by the Town Attorney's Office, to sign an agreement with Cole Layer Trumble Co. The contract amount will not be increased.

RESOLUTION: 2005-107 CATEGORY: Agreements, Contracts, Leases SPONSORED BY: Councilman Steven Kenny DEPARTMENT: Town Attorney

Authorize Supervisor to Sign Agreement with Environmental Systems Products, Inc. (ESP)

WHEREAS, Environmental Systems Products, Inc. has in the past serviced the Southampton Police Department’s NYTEST Unit equipment; and

WHEREAS, the company has been reliable in the past and the Police Chief of the Town of Southampton recommends the Town enter into a service agreement for one year, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Southampton authorizes the Supervisor, subject to approval by the Town Attorney’s Office, to sign an agreement with ESP for an annual service contract in an amount not to exceed $3,458.00 plus tax. The source of funding is Contracts G/L #01-1640-24010-0000.
