The duties and responsibilities of a neonatal nurse practitioner are:

 Providing continues care for normal babies, premature babies and babies with health problems  Taking care of the babies for a month after birth  Caring for babies with serious health conditions that may require surgeries. In this regard, neonatal nurse practitioners have to assist the doctors in surgery and take care of the baby after surgery  Dressing the baby as soon as it is born  Collecting blood samples from the baby immediately after birth  Helping new mothers get acquainted with the caring patterns for the baby Neonatal nurse practitioner skills and specifications

The skills and specifications of a neonatal nurse practitioner are:
