Money for College Available NOW for Middle Income Families

California's Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) program is available to undergraduate students with family incomes up to $150,000 who attend a UC or CSU campus. MCS awards will be based on a sliding scale according to family income.

Scholarship amounts will vary by student and institution, and the maximum award will be 40% of the system wide - or base - tuition and fees amount once the program is fully implemented in 2017-2018. Scholarships for this academic year are still available.

Students who are currently enrolled at a CSU or UC and have not yet applied for financial aid (submitted a FAFSA) can apply TODAY to see if they are eligible for a Middle Class Scholarship. Students should contact their campus Financial Aid Office for more information.
