1. Create an Ancient Greek newspaper or magazine about the events of The Odyssey Must be typed Include at least 2 full articles and 2 advertisements Must have the appearance/format of a newspaper or magazine 2. An illustration of a scene from The Odyssey 8 ½ by 11” or larger unlined paper Must be detailed and fully colored or shaded Include background elements 2. A board game based on the action of the story Include an illustrated game board with all the necessary parts to play the game. Must include instruction game that completely explains the objectives and rules for playing the game 3. Video: Can be a videotaped rendition of a scene from the story (may be a shared grade between 2-3 students), digital animation, or other form of multimedia presentation 2-4 minute production All characters must be heard and seen clearly on film Include costumes and props 4. Build a scale model of a scene from the story Include all characters and setting elements 5. Create a travel brochure for Odysseus’s travels. See additional handout. 6. Create a scrapbook about Odysseus’s adventures. Include at least 4 pages and a cover page Should be from Odysseus’s perspective Include pictures, captions, and other artifacts 7. Create a map of Odysseus’s adventures with a ship’s log. Detailed, colored map tracing the ship’s path Ship’s log with at least 10 entries 8. Compose and perform a song about The Odyssey. Must be at least two minutes in length. 9. Research something related to The Odyssey and create a Glog on Glogster.com Be thorough in information Include sources (at least 3)
