The Four Truths of A

The Four Truths of A.P.

1. Getting a “5”, or a “4”, or a “3” takes hard work 2. Suffering comes from trying to take the easy path to getting a “5”, “4”, or “3” 3. Desiring the easy path to a “5”, “4” or “3” can be broken 4. The path to ending suffering comes from gradual self-improvement and following the eightfold path below:

Wisdom

- Make use of the syllabus and daily assignments - Make use of your study buddy and/or your study group - Set a time and a place to study daily; Review on a regular basis

Ethical Conduct

- Do your own work and do not copy the work of others - Do not be late to class or miss class

Mental Development

- Read the book; there is no substitute for it - Take good notes in class, and organize your binder - Do not procrastinate or “slack off”

NOTE: The information above came out of various student final exam projects from the WHAP and APUSH classes at Lemon Bay HS, SY 2003-2004.
