Announcements for Wednesday, March 8, 2017 – “A Day”

WTOP is running their “CLICK for KIDS 2017” contest where schools could apply to win one of three prizes. Stuart M. Beville Middle is one of the schools that applied for the contest. Grand Prize: $15,000 First Place: $10,000 Second Place: $5,000

The catch (for elementary and middle schools) is that you have to be 13 or older to vote. You can vote once a day, but they will disqualify individual votes that use multiple email addresses. Contest closes March 17. So, vote early, vote often!! By voting, you do agree to receive promotional and/or news information from WTOP. Your name will not be shared or sold with any other parties.

This morning our eighth grade students will be taking the Grade 8 Essay Writing SOL. We thank all other students for being quiet in the hallways so our eighth graders can focus and do well on their exams. Thanks to all who are proctoring or helping in any other way.

Our Bobcat Color Run is Saturday, March 25, 2017, planned to raise money for our school. The Bobcat Color Run is a fun run for all ages and fitness abilities. Along the route, participants pass through vibrant color zones, making it a “colorful experience.” Register by 3/11/17 to receive a t-shirt and individual color packet. You can sign up for the run by visiting BobcatMSCR.eventbrite.com or by completing a paper registration form. We will also have lots of snacks and food at the Color Run. Hurry and register, don't wait until last minute. If you need additional registration forms, see Mr. Qarni in room 15.

Would you like to have a free yearbook? Now is your chance! Anyone who orders a yearbook from now until March 31, your name will be entered into a drawing to get a yearbook for free! The winner will have their money reimbursed and will receive their free yearbook at the end of the year.
