Crossman Invitational October 14-15, 2017 Colleagues, The El Camino forensics coaches and students are pleased to invite you to the first-ever Crossman Invitational on the El Camino College campus in Torrance, California on October 14-15, 2017. The tournament is open to both two- and four-year schools If entries warrant, we will offer 3 divisions of NPDA and IPDA, 2 divisions of NFA-LD and 3 rounds of 2 divisions of 11 Individual Events. Students may enter either IPDA or IEs and may double-enter all IEs. Parli will use the bronze/ silver/gold format but we are open to holding further elimination rounds for senior division if desired. LOCATION. The El Camino College address is 16007 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance, CA 905056, right off the 405 freeway at the Crenshaw exit. For directions, visit http://www.elcamino.edu/about/directions.asp The tournament headquarters will be MU 132. The Music Building faces Redondo Beach Blvd., near the corner of Redondo Beach Blvd. and Crenshaw Blvd.

PARKING. The closest parking is lot K and then L, off Crenshaw Blvd., south of Redondo Beach Blvd. You need to purchase a $3 parking pass each day. El Camino police will ticket cars without a pass.

FOOD. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for judges; there are multiple close locations from which students can purchase food.

RULES AND ELIGIBILITY. All events will follow PSCFA guidelines. Wifi and prep rooms will be provided and topic will be centrally announced. A novice is defined as a competitor with no significant high school experience, in his or her first two semesters of competition, who has not advanced to elimination rounds at more than two tournaments in NPDA or IPDA, or taken 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place twice in IEs. A junior competitor is one who has not competed for more than four semesters, and who has not advanced to elimination rounds in junior division at more than two tournaments in NPDA or IPDA.

SWEEPSTAKES. Overall Sweepstakes Awards for the top three colleges will be presented during the final awards ceremony on Sunday. The PSCFA formula will be used to determine standings and El Camino will be ineligible for an award.

Judging Commitment Each school must provide a qualified judge for every two NPDA or IPDA entries, and for every 5 slots, or part thereof, for IEs.

Judging Fees, if allowed We cannot guarantee that you can buy out; you must do whatever possible to cover your entry and if that is not possible, contact the tournament for permission to buy out.
