Network Change: This is a revision to the Long Term network change notice ATT20160201L.4. The reason for this revision is the due date is not obtainable due to network freezes and AT&T is extending the window of implementation to 3rd quarter to meet these ASR obligations for carrier rehoming AT&T Texas has developed a project with the plan to eliminate the Nortel DMS STPs in Midland, Texas. This will require re-homing all the SS7 linksets from the Midland Nortel DMS STPs (MDLDTXMU07W/TRMNTXTE01W) into the Austin, Texas (AUSTTXGR57W/AUSTTXTE13W) Tekelec STPs. This change will consolidate STPs in LATA (542) to LATA (558).

Description of Type of Changes Planned: AT&T Southwest will be decommissioning the STPs in the AT&T Midland, TX area. Carriers who connect with AT&T Southwest in the Midland LATA (542) need to migrate their SS7 linksets. The NEW FSPOI codes are MDLDTXMU1RW/TRMNTXTE04W. AT&T will transport the SS7 links from the FSPOI to the new STP location in LATA 558. Midland, TX - LATA-542 MDLDTXMU07W/TRMNTXTE01W Point Code - 249-022-000/249-023-000 - Alias 249-090-000 Austin-LATA-558 AUSTTXGR57W/AUSTTXTE13W Point Code - 249-012-000/249-013-000 - Alias 249-151-251

Description of Reasonably Foreseeable Impact of the Planned Changes: Carriers will need to move their SS7 links and must coordinate the activity with AT&T. AT&T will communicate more details with affected Carriers in 2nd Quarter 2017. It is anticipated that Carriers will have to issue ASRs to connect to the FSPOI in the existing LATA (542) and that Carriers will not have to transport their SS7 links any further than they presently do. ASRs will need to be issued prior to the cutovers with the existing FSPOI, and the new Far End CLLI and Point Code. The Carriers will need a technician in their Central Office or STP during the maintenance window on the night of the cutover to make changes in the SS7 routing tables with the new set of point codes shown below.
