Financial Aid (Diploma Students only): Financial aid seekers should apply a minimum of 90 days before the start. I am a Diploma student and wish Financial Aid. Attached is a portfolio of drawings, art or design projects. Teaching Assistant Positions: (Master Students only) I wish to be considered as a teaching assistant. General Conditions of Participation: 1. After acceptance to the Institute, the initial enrollment fee of 780€ needs to be paid immediately in order to guarantee the student’s place in the course. Enrollment fees are paid at the start of each year. 2. Tuition fees one year, must be paid 60 days before the 1st day of lessons to avoid 8% accrued interest penalty 3. Upon request, students can pay tuition in parts with an 'additional cost' each semester of 150 Euro for dividing payments. 4. If the student can not attend as scheduled they may request to attend at a later date, but enrollment or tuition fees can not be refunded if the student at any stage cancels attendance. 5. Student is responsible for damage caused to persons/property of the Institute. 6. Course content may be altered if deemed necessary by the director. 7. Students agree to use the schools computers, internet and WIFI exclusively for academic purposes, within the confines Italian Law. Violators will be held responsible under Italian Law. 8. The Institute, whenever possible, will assist students with their transition to Florence. However the Institute is not responsible for agreements made between the student and housing agencies or other third parties. 9. Students wishing to transfer credits to schools non-affiliated with the FIDI may need pre-approval from the director of such impending school. 10. The institute reserves the right to use student works, photos and video taken at institute events or for inclusion in printed publications and online advertisement. 11. An additional fees of 150€ will be charged for changes to start dates or enrollment which require new certificates. 12. Students are required to own and maintain a laptop computer capable of operating advanced graphic and rendering software. Students enrolling for more than 1 year should expect to purchase a second computer during their 2nd year since technology degrades or becomes outdated. 13. Students with special requests, observations or disabilities should attach a signed letter explaining their case. 14. A fee of 500€ is charged for retaking of single failed semester courses and for each BA 2nd attempt.

5. Proof of Artistic Studies- A portfolio is not required but art classes should be listed among high school studies or also certificates from art courses qualify. Students without evidence of training, but have a portfolio of creative work will also be considered.

*NOTE: Students not qualified creatively or without language skills may enroll for the 1yr Diploma and may later qualify for the BA through additional study. Students with borderline Artistic or English skills may still be accepted but would need to enroll to intensive classes prior.
