Job Description

After a training program of 3 to 5 months, the successful candidate will develop rentals and sales of welding equipment in assigned region by following sales leads, making presentations, preparing quotes, maintaining all required literature, providing customer follow-up. Assess customer needs and recommend solutions. Some overnight travel as well as excellent communication skills required.

Essential Duties (include but not limited to):

 Develop and increase end user customer base by effective communication, assessment of needs and recommendation of solutions  Perform onsite equipment demonstrations  Make application recommendations of welding and positioning equipment  Provide back-up coverage at the branch location during vacations and shortages  Develop long-term supply relationships through contracts and/or agreements  Provide customer follow-up  Work as part of a team in providing customer solutions.  Meet or exceed rental and sales goals specified in the market area.  Represent the company at trade association meetings, Trade Shows promoting products  Compile list of prospective customers for sales leads based on information from newspapers, business directories, trade journals and other sources  Maintain accurate and timely submission of sales call reports & expenses

Required Skills and Qualifications

 Sales experience in either an industrial equipment rental or a welding equipment sales or rental environment (ideally construction, fabrication, and/or manufacturing sectors)  Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding applications and equipment is strongly desirable  Self-starter, self-motivated, sense of urgency, well organized, ability to achieve goals, ability to focus and pay attention to detail  Have the ability to develop and execute market/business plans  Must have excellent technical, oral and writing skills as well as strong interpersonal and management skills  Proven ability to make sound business decisions  Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups in a business setting  Good presentation and negotiating skills  Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds  Working knowledge of computers including the use of MS office products  Ability to travel and be away from home 25-35% of the time  Clean driving record Please apply, in confidence, via email to [email protected] or via fax to 1-905-481-2401 by June 25, 2012.
