The programs of study outlined below lead to the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia State Community College (CSCC) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Early Childhood Education with Teacher Certification Pre K-4 from Tennessee State University (TSU). This articulation agreement recognizes the following course work is needed to complete an A.A.S. degree in Early Childhood Education at Columbia State Community College. Condition(s) for transfer . This articulation agreement applies only to the B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education with Teacher Certification Pre K-4 and is aligned with current degree requirements. Any future changes to the degree program may not be applicable to this agreement and may necessitate renegotiation. . A change of major invalidates these courses/credits for transfer unless they are approved within some other program-to-program articulation agreement for a different major at Tennessee State University. . A minimum 2.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for transferable credits. For admission into upper division teacher education courses a 2.75 GPA is required. . Students who complete the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia State Community College and who transfer to Tennessee State University must enroll in sixteen (16) additional general education core credit hours in the following areas: Humanities, Social/Behavioral Sciences, History, and Natural Science. The chart below indicates course equivalents for the remaining general education core credit hours that may be taken at TSU upon admission or at CSCC prior to enrolling at TSU.
