EMT GETTING STARTED AND COURSE MATERIALS

Thank you for your interest in Pierce College Emergency Medical Services Program. There are five steps to completing your registration processes into the EMS Program.

Step One: Apply to Pierce College by accessing the following web address: http://www.pierce.ctc.edu/dist/admissions/getstarted/

Student I.D. number is required to submit the application.

Step Two: Complete the attached EMT documentation as well as all prerequisites and return by Friday before the first day of the quarter. Return via email [email protected], fax (253) 964-6550, or drop off to one of our offices (Cascade 131 or Cascade 341).

Step Three: Purchase your textbook (which includes an Access Navigate Card) and workbook prior to attending EMT Mandatory Orientation. Textbooks/Workbooks can be purchased by contacting Stone Education Center at 253-964-8185 or by contacting Jones & Bartlett using the link below in REQUIRED COURSE MATERIALS. *Students purchasing their book set through Stone Education Center Bookstore can pay over the phone with a debit or credit card and request to have the books delivered free of charge to the EMS office at the Fort Steilacoom campus for the students to pick up. ** If you choose an alternative source to purchase your textbook please be advised that it may contain the correct online access code**

Step Four: Attend the Mandatory EMT Orientation.

 The Preferred Package ($350.00) can be ordered through Jones & Bartlett American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Eleventh Edition, Jones & Bartlett (publisher) ISBN 978-1-284-11657-1. Students are required to purchase the Preferred Package which contains the course textbook, student workbook and Navigate Preferred Access Code.
