Upon graduating from law school Judge Barber worked in the Internal Security Division of the US Dept. of Justice in Washington, D.C. He began a private law practice in 1972. During his years of private practice Judge Barber was elected to the Richland County Council serving from 1977 through 1986.

Upon admission to the bar, Judge Macaulay was an Asst. Attorney General from 1970 through 1972, representing SC and its agencies, to include the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission, Dept. of Social Services and Dept. of Highways and Public Transportation. in 1973, Judge Macaulay joined a private practice. He was elected to the SC Senate in 1980 representing Oconee, Pickens, Anderson and Abbeville Counties. He served in the SC Senate until his election as Judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit in 1994. In the State Senate, he served as Chairman of the Medical Affairs Committee and was a member of the Finance, Judiciary, Education, Banking and Insurance, and Labor, Commerce and Industry Committees. Judge Macaulay is admitted to and has practiced in the US District Court, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court.

Judge Mcintosh was a law clerk for the Honorable Luke N. Brown, Jr., Circuit Court Judge, Fourteenth (14th) Judicial Circuit until May, 1987. In May of 1987, he was hired by Mcintosh & Sherard now Mcintosh, Sherard and Sullivan. He was elected to the Circuit Court Bench, Tenth Judicial Circuit, Seat 1, on May 13, 2009.

JUDGE: Judge J. C. (Buddy) Nicholson (Active/Retired) CIRCUIT: 10 GENDER: Male BIRTHDATE: September 30, 1942 RACE: Caucasian EDUCATION: BA - Citadel (1964); JD – Univ. of South Carolina (1973)

Judge Nicholson served in the USAF as a pilot from '65 until '70 and in the Air National Guard until 1989. Upon graduating from law school Judge Nicholson was Assistant Solicitor from 1973 until 1974. In 1974 he entered into private practice on a full-time basis and served as Assistant Solicitor on a part-time basis until 1976. From 1976 CIRCUIT COURT JUDGES CIRCUIT 10 (Oconee and Anderson Counties) until 1982, Judge Nicholson was a member of the Orangeburg County Council. In 1983, he accepted a position as Asst. Solicitor for Greenville County for one year before entering private practice with the firm of Epps & Krause. He remained with this firm until he was elected Judge.
