Hello I Wanted to Attach the Email Invation I Sent to the Women's Rugby Discussion List

Hello-- I wanted to attach the email invation I sent to the women's rugby discussion list regarding the 2003 Beantown Tournament in the hopes that you could make your schools aware of it. We ususally round out a 16 team bracket with DI teams, and I would love to fill an 8 team bracket for both DII and DIII. Could you please either forward this to the email contacts you each have for your respective divisions, or pass along the emails to me and I can send it directly? As school is approaching the end for most of these folks, I'm hoping to get this out in the next week. I appreciate your help, and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!

Anna McMahan Tournament Director Beantown RFC

TO: Women's Collegiate Players FROM: Anna McMahan, Beantown RFC WHAT: 2003 Beantown Tournament WHERE: UMASS Amherst WHEN: September 13-14, 2003 COST: $200 for one side, $300 for two sides before July 1st $250 for one side, $350 for two sides after July 1st

I would like to invite you to the Beantown Tournament, the largest annual collegiate women's tournament in the United States. We regularly host teams from New England, New York, Met New York, and the Mid Atlantic region, and the rugby is always high-level and competitive in each division.

This year's tournament will be similar to last year's in number of teams overall and per division. We will open the tournament to 16 Division I teams, 8 Division II teams, and 8 Division III/b side teams. If your team is currently in Division IV and you are interested in attending the tournament, please contact me.

As in years past we will host positional skill clinics during a break in games on Saturday. The clinics will be free to teams registered to play in the tournament.

Each team is guaranteed three games. The tournament has a non-forfeit policy in place for this year's tournament, similar to last year's policy. Teams that forfeit games last year will be wait-listed for the tournament this year. Teams that forfeit games at this year's tournament will be wait-listed for the 2004 tournament. This year we are requiring the full payment in advance, instead of a $50.00 deposit. As before, your place in the tournament is guaranteed when I receive payment, though please feel free to contact me and let me know that you are interested in registering for the tournament as soon as you can. If I need to send a tournament payment invoice to your school, contact me and let me know who and where to send it to.

Send checks made payable to Beantown RFC, to: Anna McMahan 32 Emerson Street Newton, MA 02458

Please include the following information with your deposit: · club name · division (DI, DII, DIII/bside) · contact information (very important!!) including name, phone number (school and summer), and email addresses (school and summer)
