You have asked baptism for your child. Have you received the Sacrament of Matrimony in the Catholic Church? ____ (Yes/No). Please attach a copy of your Church Marriage Certificate. Have you attended the Baptism Preparation Course conducted in this Parish? ____ (Yes/No) When? ______

If you are not married in the Catholic Church, please help us to help you by postponing the child’s Baptism and by producing you Baptism Certificate for Marriage Purpose / Freedom to Marry Certificate from the Parish where you have been baptized. Then, we will bless your marriage in the Catholic Church with due preparation and the Baptism of your child at the same time. “Remember, for a Catholic, Marriage is a Sacrament and witness must be Catholic (Canon : 874).

Child’s godparents should be Catholic and if they are not in Bahrain a letter from their parish is required.

If you have not attended the Baptism Preparation Course, please do so when it is conducted by the parish priest every month, if you wish to have the Baptism Certificate of your child.

Please help us to write down all the data in the Parish Baptism Register by checking even the spelling of the names carefully and do not forget to put a Saint’s name for your child. Remember no changes will be made once entry is made in the Baptism Register.
