United Way Campaign Celebration Honors Volunteers and Donors

(Appleton) Supporters of United Way Fox Cities gathered on the campus of Fox Valley Technical College on January 10 to celebrate a successful community campaign that raised over $7.3 million dollars. The event was sponsored by Post-Crescent Media.

The community’s generous support will allow United Way to help more than 100,000 people in 2013 by strategically investing in programs throughout the community in education, income and health, the building blocks for a good quality of life.

“We all have a stake in creating a healthy and prosperous community. It takes all of us working together to create change. The measure of United Way is not in the fundraising campaign, but in the way that it impacts the quality of life for all of us,” said Dr. Susan May, Campaign co-chair and president of Fox Valley Technical College.

“We extend our gratitude to all of the outstanding corporate partners and the hundreds of other generous companies and individuals in the Fox Cities who help to build a stronger, more caring community for everyone,” added Campaign co-chair Genia Lovett president and publisher of Post-Crescent Media.
