Away much more smoothly up to 1900 metres on Thursday, Mnasek broke on top from the rail but soon dropped back to allow Jumeirah Beach (Ire) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}) to take up the running. Although she had just turned 18 and was barren, this brilliant daughter of Vaguely Noble and Charming Alibi drew a bid of $1,100,000 from Allen Paulson, for whom she went on to produce the Grade I-winning Dahlia=s Dreamer and the Grade II winner Llandaff.
