JATCO 4N71B TURBO STAGE III KEAS VALVE BODY KIT FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY

General This keas kit will provide Semi Automatic operation in all engine conditions including and up to 16 pounds of positive engine boost pressure. It has been designed specifically for the VL Commodore turbo charged JATCO 4N71B transmission. Fitment of keas kit This keas kit contains 1 x Separator Plate and 1 x Pressure Modifier Spring. The fitment of these two components are the only modifications to the factory valve body. Rebuild valve body as normal following the usual protocols. During reassembly replace the Pressure Modifier Spring with new spring and replace the Separator Plate with new keas plate. Kick Down Solenoid Unplug Kick Down Solenoid. Failure to do so can result in un-commanded kick down. Case Remove Over Drive Accumulator Piston Spring and refit Accumulator without a spring. Always use a genuine JATCO “White Dot” Modulator. Although expensive ($77.00) they are accurate and provide a long service life. Over Drive Case If you have the Over Drive Case apart, delete the Over Drive One Way Orifice Cup (Refer Diagram) and drill out the Direct Clutch feed to 0.100” [2.5mm] located next to steel ball bearing in Centre Drum Support (Refer Diagram). This will improve shift quality into Over Drive and Kick Down to 3rd gear. Note. These valve bodies will not correct faults in transmissions that require overhaul and / or modification. For best results it is recommended that valve body be installed in the transmission during overhaul. Help If after fitting a keas kit you have problems email [email protected]. with your questions.

Warranty keas valve body kits are designed for vehicles with increased HP. Caution needs to be exercised when operating this style of valve body. The warranty only covers the replacement of the faulty keas supplied component. Transmission removal and refitting, freight and any associated costs are not included. Delete this spring and refit piston without a spring

Optional Modifications If Over Drive Housing Is Disassembled Drill the hole next to the Ball Bearing out to 0.100” or 2.5mm. You must refit this ball bearing

Delete this One Way Orifice (Cup and Ball)
