Salvation is not for sale
The value of a soul cannot be measured in dollars and cents. In fact, there is not enough money on earth to purchase a single soul.
Years ago, I did the funeral of a family friend. We were unable to get this person to take salvation seriously, family members were aware of that fact. Sadly, they left the cemetery and went to pay for a religious service, supposedly to shorten the time in torment.
I recognize that there are religions that seek to profit from the grief and fear of others, despite the fact that God made it clear that money offers no help for lost souls. Salvation has no price tag either for our loved ones, or for us. Please listen carefully to the following scriptures:
Cannot buy the salvation of others “They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him” (Psalms 49:6-7).
Cannot buy your own salvation “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot” (I Peter 1:18- 19).
Beloved, the blood of Christ is the purchase price for a soul; Jesus died for every person (Hebrews 2:9). The serious question for tonight is this – have I been washed in the blood of Christ? If not, here is how you can be saved:
By hearing the word (Romans 10:17) By believing that Jesus is the Son of God (John 8:24) By repenting of your past sins (Luke 13:3) By confessing Christ before men (Matthew 10:32-33) By being baptized to have your sins washed away (Acts 22:16)
