EIGHTH GRADE ORCHESTRA CALIFORNIA TRIP 2015-16 HOTEL GUIDELINES

HOTEL INFORMATION Tropicana Inn 1540 South Harbor Boulevard Anaheim, CA 92802 (714) 635-4082

We will be staying the nights of February 5 - February 7. The Tropicana Inn is a top quality hotel right across the street from the main gate of Disneyland All students will respect the rights of the other guests and respect hotel property and rules. Any questionable behavior will be dealt with immediately by the directors or an administrator.

- There will be four same gender students assigned per hotel room. Two students share one queen size bed. No roommate switches will be allowed, once assigned. Two students are “buddies”. Four students are “roommates”. Two groups of four students with the same chaperone are a “family group”.

- No male students are allowed in female rooms; no female students allowed in male rooms. Period. Not for any reason. There are no exceptions. Violation of this rule will result in an immediate third strike and severe consequences which can include loss of performance privileges, being sent home at parent’s expense to Phoenix, and further disciplinary action upon return to school.

- No student will leave the hotel for any unscheduled reason with any person except in emergency circumstances with a director or an administrator. Parents and relatives may not take a student away from the group for any reason at any time.

- The lobby, pool, restaurants and other hotel facilities are off limits for students unless specifically scheduled by the director. There is no time in the schedule for swimming. When not in their rooms, students must always be with their chaperone.

- Students may carry and use cell phones, but cost of all calls and loss is their own responsibility.

- Students will be expected to be quiet and well behaved at the hotel at all times. You must be quiet in your room and outside. Respect other guests, please. Once we are at the hotel, stay in your rooms and be quiet.

- Chaperones will hold the hotel room keys. Once students are in their rooms, they must stay there. No one should be outside after lights out! Chaperones will knock on student doors in the morning when it is time to be up. Students should not be out of their rooms until it is time to go down to breakfast.

- The night time is for rest. You are all going to need it. Respect your roommates and get some sleep!

- INFRACTIONS OF ANY OF THESE RULES will result in strikes as listed in the 'three strikes" policy. Remember: The result will at least be loss of free time in the park, or in case of a serious or safety infraction, the parent will be contacted and the student will be sent home at the parent's expense. Thank you in advance for your great behavior!
