Dear General Gallinetti,

I am pleased to invite you to attend the Legion of Valor VIP Reception and Banquet (black tie, mess dress) on Jun 2 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott at 6:00pm.

As you may know, the prestigious Legion of Valor is the oldest military service organization in the United States. Its members have distinguished themselves in combat by extraordinary acts of selfless heroism; and have been recognized by our nation with award of the Congressional Medal of Honor or the Armed Services highest award for extraordinary heroism in actions spanning the Spanish-American War to the present conflict in Afghanistan. We number only a few thousand awardees in the past 122 years, and many of our World War II awardees are in the autumn of their lives.

The Legion of Valor members meet at an annual convention each year, and this year the 122nd Annual Convention is to be held in Norfolk, Virginia, May 30-Jun 3 (learn more at www.legionofvalorconvention2012.com). The highlight of the convention is the VIP Reception and Banquet on the evening of Jun 2nd (6:00-10:00pm) at the Marriott Waterside in Norfolk, Virginia. Our keynote speaker is LtGen George Flynn, Joint Staff J-7. A long list of military and civilian dignitaries will attend the banquet.

Since the Legion of Valor is self-supporting and many attendees are current government employees we do not offer complimentary invitations. We ask that you purchase a ticket for the VIP Reception and Banquet at www.legionofvalorconvention2012.com/register-banquet- only.html. The event is by invitation only. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you at the banquet.

Warm regards,
