Job Description Juneau Suicide Prevention Coalition Suicide Prevention Administrative Assistant Part Time – Non Exempt

This position is staff support for the Suicide Prevention Coalition and will help document efforts to completing the Juneau Suicide Prevention Coalition’s strategic plan.

Representative Tasks/Responsibilities

Administrative Activities  Attend meetings of and provide administrative support to the Steering Committee, Monthly Coalition, Public Awareness/Training, Community Wellness, and Postvention Committees.  Maintain records and collect data including inventory lists, website hits, rosters and training evaluations forms, and assist in completing required program reports.  Input Signs of Suicide data and work with the Program Coordinator to create a snapshot highlighting the program’s successes.  Rebuild/update the JSPC library of postvention support materials and distribute materials at key locations in the community.  Attend and participate in supervision meetings according to JYS policies.  May maintain, update and enhance all current JSPC public awareness activities including websites, social media accounts, brochures, resource cards, and other information and advertising.  May advertise services with a variety of print and audio/visual materials, including public service announcements and social network advertising.

Requirements

 High school diploma strongly preferred.  Experience working in the prevention field preferred.  Current Alaska drivers license and auto insurance per agency standards.  Clearance of state and federal background checks.  Completion of required trainings according to established timelines and per job class and program assignment.
