September is fast approaching, but there is still time to make a small quilt. Remember, there is no minimum size. Working with animal prints is one way to make a quilt crazy. You could fussy-cut the fabric and swap heads. IE; put the giraffe head on the elephant body. You could also do a garden with animal heads replacing flowers. Elephant trunks or animal tails would make crazy leaves. Your quilt or table runner must be finished to be eligible for judging by your fellow quilters.

Since this is our twentieth anniversary, there will be more prizes than usual.

Why not stay inside and work on something for the Crazy Quilters’ Holiday Auction? The Holiday Auction will be held at our meeting on Dec. 6, 2011. Members are asked to bring handcrafted items of gift quality made by the member or someone he or she knows (neighbor, family member, etc). The items will be auctioned off at the meeting with the proceeds going into the Guild treasury.

Past items have included knitted or sewn garments and accessories, purses, placemats and table runners, baskets, pillows, candy, cookies, pin cushions, ornaments, etc.

Stay cool and keep stitching!
