Marketing Intern Job Description Greenwich International Film Festival (GIFF) is a non-profit organization that celebrates the art of film in Greenwich, CT, with a world-class Festival in June and supporting events throughout the year.

GIFF is seeking a Marketing Intern to work up to 10 hours a week beginning in January 2018 with a flexible end date of May or June 2018, depending on the intern’s availability. The Marketing Intern will assist with our media efforts, and be an integral part of our team. The qualified candidate should be a dedicated, hard working individual who want to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and writing skills are a must, as well as multitasking and the ability to work independently.

Internship Responsibilities:

 Create engagement and buzz, through original content for each of GIFF’s existing social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.)  Assist in developing and implementing promotional opportunities to gain additional exposure through contests creative promotions  Assist in creating marketing strategy and key messaging creative ways to use to content, with all content being consistent with GIFF branding  Grow following for all social media accounts  Create Blog posts about the festival, film reviews, etc.  Track the growth and the impact of social media on our business  Reply to comments, messages, etc.  Report findings to the team  Assist with public relations efforts, contacting relevant media on behalf of the Festival

Skills and attributes interns are expected to have:

 Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills

 Knowledge of digital media software – Photoshop or other graphic design software, etc. is preferred

 Knowledge of video editing software – iMovie, Final Cut, or Windows Live Movie Maker is a plus

 Wordpress experience a plus – Platform on which blog, and site have been built

 Knowledge of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs

 Willingness to create blogs, write press releases, and posts to various social media sites on a weekly or daily basis

 Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence

 Ability to contribute individually, and participate in cross-functional teams

 Movie knowledge or film enthusiast preferred
