In teams of 2 you will research ______of the US and prepare a PowerPoint presentation outlining the following: 1. Name of your region 2. States included in this region (show a map on your presentation) 3. The people who settled this region and the foods they brought with them 4. The geography and climate of the region and how this influences the food supply 5. The traditional foods and cooking methods of this region

You must site your sources (you need at least 2. One is the Guide to Good Food book) and you make not copy and paste!!! In addition, you will select a simple, inexpensive recipe (less than $10) that reflects your region of the US and you will demonstrate how to prepare this dish in front of the class.

Your grade will be based on the following: 1. Completely covered all items in the PowerPoint 50 points 2. Power Point is neat, attractive and easy to read 10 points 3. Recipe meet requirements listed 20 points 4. Presentation (spoke loud enough, did not read…) 20 points
