I am an educational practitioner with 7 years of experience in international situations. My roles in the past have included curriculum development, instructional design, academic administration, admissions-in-charge and academic research. I have expertise using Perl, C++, LISP, Unix, DOS, MS-Office, Adobe Creative Suite. I have international educational experience.

Experience and Skills:

 (1 year) Experience working as an intern on the Stanford International Initiative, to assist the effort leading to a potential collaboration in the field of pre-service teacher training between the Stanford Center for Innovations in Learning and the Ministry of Education in Chile.

 Responsible for interacting with Ministry of Education officials from Chile to start initial conversations around the collaboration.

 Experience in analyzing policy documents from the international educational arena in the field of curriculum reform. Responsible for evaluating the existing Bermuda Computing Curriculum as a possible model for collaboration with Chile.

 Responsible for developing a white paper detailing a comprehensive scenario around a pilot program for a collaboration to enhance capacities and practices of Schools of Education as principal role players in teacher training and professional development. (expected date of completion June 30th, 2005)

 (6 years) Experience working as a curriculum developer using knowledge of learning theories, instructional design and outcomes-based assessment. Experienced in the application of academic research around emerging trends and their successful implementation in large (45+ students) classrooms.

 Experience teaching discrete math and automata theory to graduate computer science students using a problem based approach. Responsible for designing instructional material, assessments and conducting student evaluations.

 Developed a system for automatic generation for product documentation from the system, so that newly added features would be reflected in the user manual. Used formatting, typesetting tools and Perl to auto-generate a print version of the online manual. (Samples available upon request)

 Added new features, using Perl and SQL, to generate attendance sheets and annual grade reports to ensure compliance with the university standards.

 Responsible for interaction with the university academic senate to codify the academic rules of the department. Responsible for establishing a process of collaboration with the academic senate regarding declaration of results.

 Responsible for generating time-schedule for classes each semester adapting to the changing palette of courses offered.  (1 year) Experience working as Admissions InCharge for an autonomous university department. Responsible for design and logistics of conducting a nation-wide entrance test(~10,000 applicants) at 15 different test centers.

 Responsible for design and layout of the brochure, newspaper advertisement, test paper and related material in the admission kit, in compliance with university standards for layout and cost. (Samples available upon request)

 Responsible for a budget of over 500,000Rs.

 Responsible for declaration of results and new admit orientation.
