Marlin Spike Class Staff Development More in depth use of knot tying and splicing George Roth interested in teaching 3 Part Course 1-1.5 hours each Part1 Normal Knots – Leave with Monkeys Fist Part 2 Splicing and Spectra – Leave with Spliced Lines Part 3 Splicing of Mooring Lines – Eyelets etc. – Leave with Knowledge Could this be an actual usable rating for members in the future? Members able to utulize rating and fix mooring lines/halyards etc First time = 10 Initial Cost for thos interested Will be offered out to instructors first – others second Hopefully will be very beneficial to Hoofers in the future Winter membership benefits as well Debating if we want to have tools in house or if we want to give them to the users after the class Kyle: Bring your own material perhaps? Lou: Has LOTS of splicing tools – if need to borrow he can help We get 50% off equipment at West Marine Being “felt out” currently to see if this has any interest level CALL/GET AHOLD OF PETER KAPUR IF INTERESTED

Lift Out – Pete Some pros and cons from the entire experience Good Turnout – 75% people who were signed up for the first lift out Safety was great – no injuries! J -29 The Mast ended up hitting the overall on mineral point right before the farm There is currently a bend in it and unusable Pulpits bent and ripped out Insurance options are being looked into Replacement for the mast ONLY ~ $5,900 Other Options: Different companies we could use Used masts Not really sure why this happened this time around and not other times

Winter Benchmarks Keelboat Winterizing Still need to focus on covering and cleaning up boats – what are in hulls are what we want etc etc Sail Storage is figured out Dinghy Storage Scows are being taken care of - covered etc 420 racks May have gone missing If you need anything talk to the shop 420 pier getting taken out again by shop and tech pier taken out by team 420 Pier getting taken out the 26th/28th Lasers and Bytes are now shrink rapped together Farm Usage Glasswork 420S Maybe 1 keelboat that needs a hand/ leaves room for a lot of little boats that may need help as well Lots of transportations but would be greatly appreciated 2 large gashes on the 420s at least General cosmetic work SLOOPS Buffing and vinyl work SCOWS E conversion WINDSURFING Hopefully dings will be taken out in a garage Lake lab would like to be kept open – grabbing boards and sails much easier If you want to store things in there over the winter talk to Matt or Ken Life jackets moved??? Transportation Potentially find a vehicle merely for farm trips Piers and Infastructure Potentially new piers? Pre approval for another new set of piers to the west of the tech pier Pre existing support which is pretty great Permanent Habor Pier??? Technically approved in 1942 to get a Harbor Wall outside of the Mooring Field Look to get funding and support! Quarterly Meeting Planning Advice? Protocol? Interest in Attending? Looking into member feedback for the whole Internet thing and Tech Fleet LARGE ROOM – Union South Last year capped at 50 and 70 showed up VERY TIGHT PROTOCOL Who gets to speak/how long/what order/potential for votes/merely feed back etc Definitions matter!
