Volunteers are a vital part of our school and we cannot offer all the events if we don’t have enough parent volunteers! General Requirements The PFC general meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7pm. Additionally, the PFC Executive Board meets once per month. Regular attendance is required as part of your job duties. Each position is elected for a two year term.

For a ll Board Members - excerp t from Bylaws 6 . 1 (d) Qualifications. All Committee Chairs (including all Board Members) must (i) be Members, (ii) have the skills necessary or desirable to fulfill the duties of the position in which they serve and (iii) have the ability to work cooperatively with the Board and membership to fulfill these duties of the position in which they serve and further the purposes of the Corporation.

Co President Duties (paraphrased from the bylaws):  Be the chief executive officer and general manager of the Corporation and will generally supervise and control all business affairs of the Corporation  Perform all duties incident to this office and such other duties as may be required by law  Preside at the general meetings and make reports to the membership at large  Represent the school at the monthly Superintendent's Council meeting  Communicate with the principal  Oversee all committees  Regular attendance at the monthly general and executive board meetings is expected

Vice President Duties (paraphrased from the bylaws):  In the absence of the president. perform all duties of the president  Assist the president when needed  Oversee all fundraising activities •  Serve as director of volunteers; maintain list of volunteers and identify chairperson for committees, contact volunteers to establish a committee at direction of Board  Serve as liaison between Board and volunteers  Regular attendance at the monthly general and executive board meetings is expected

Secretary Duties (paraphrased from the bylaws);  Certify and maintain a copy of the Bylaws  Take, distribute to the Board, ports and keep a book of minutes for all meetings  Maintain the book of Statements of Policy  Be custodian of the records of the Corporation  In absence of both the President and Vice President from a meeting, call the meeting to order and appoint a temporary chairperson  Be responsible for all correspondence at the direction of the president  Regular attendance at the monthly general and executive board meetings is expected

Treasurer Duties (paraphrased from the bylaws):  have custody, and be responsible for all funds and investments (deposited funds)  receive, safely keep and give receipt for monies  keep and reconcile checkbooks and the general money market account  disburse funds as directed by the Board  keep and maintain adequate and correct books and records  present financial status reports at regular meetings of the Board  present the books on annual basis and to next Treasurer  prepare and monitor budget, and make or facilitate and required regulatory or tax filings  follow the cash handling procedure  Regular attendance at the monthly general and executive board meetings is expected

SCRIP Duties (paraphrased from the bylaws):  purchase and sell Scrip  deposit all monies received for SCRIP  use SCRIP funds to purchase additional SCRIP  present a statement of account at every General Meeting and when requested by the Board  keep and maintain adequate and correct books and records of SCRIP monies  present the books on annual basis and to next SCRIP  Regular attendance at the monthly general and executive board meetings is expected.
