A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Joseph "Joe" E. Haywood. WHEREAS, Joe Haywood was born in Hanson, Kentucky, on April 6, 1937, the cherished son of the late Hubbard and Jennie Klever Haywood; and WHEREAS, Joe Haywood was a lifelong resident of Hanson. A retired employee of UC Milk Company, he was a member of Pritchett's Chapel, the Rizpah Shriners, and Elks Lodge 738; and WHEREAS, Joe Haywood was the Hanson City Commissioner for more than 18 years; and WHEREAS, Joe Haywood, a Kentucky Colonel who loved his family and his hometown and who greeted all those he met with an endearing sense of humor, departed this earthly life and entered the kingdom of Heaven on March 10, 2015, leaving all those who were so blessed to have known him in solemn mourning; and WHEREAS, Joe Haywood was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David Haywood. He is survived by his wife, Luann Haywood; his daughters, Janet Herr (Dennis), Karen Dame (Kirby Hoodenpyle), Rita Joest (Sid), Teresa Anthony (Jim), and Linda Lockman (Hugh); his grandchildren, Austin Haywood, Chaysen Dame, Kayte Dame, Collin Herr, Lauren Herr, Avery Herr, Allie Rustad, Sarah Haywood, Megan Kessell, and Anna Joest; and six great-grandchildren;

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

 Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its deepest and most profound condolences upon the passing of Joseph "Joe" E. Haywood, and extends its heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends, and community.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Joseph "Joe" E. Haywood.
